About this deal

The "reminds me of" section for this one is pure nonsense in my opinion, mostly because of the misleading coconut. It opens with a blast of alcohol and violets that lasts a good 30/40 minutes before it settles down. Sort of tried hard not to like this as I bought too many perfumes I didn’t need another when I just got a bunch and all I wear is Narciso Rouge ! Fun fact, she actually got a compliment from a woman at an indoor playground one time while wearing this! I just feel like it’s not just sitting on my skin, it becomes part of me and I really, really really love it beyond words or reasons.

Beautifully fresh, mysterious, floral (iris and violet stand out to me, but they are so beautifully blended in), sweet and deep, all at the same time. I love the violet, it is more complex and warmer than Insolence and less gourmand than Choco-Violette so just what I was looking for. It just does not sit well on my skin - I feel like this fragrance in particular is extremely heavily dependent on the wearer's skin, because it smells beautiful in the bottle but not on my skin, whereas it smells incredible when worn by a friend. Quite a few people said this can be used year round and I expected it to be slightly lighter and more floral. It projects like a buttery, soft kettle corn kind of sweet on me, and I have to restrain myself from using it daily.I don’t think it’s obnoxious but I am the woman who used to wear Amarige as her signature back in the day. I also have opium extreme which is similar in note family and i am finding is just not working for me either. I feel like crying when people spend so much money on a present when the list of perfumes I want is aleays expanding. Like the woman it represents, the fragrance is an intricate combination of intense and solar sensuality. Even in smelling my very old vial, the coffee is much more forward than it is in the latest formulation.

Not too strong for me either, even though I often struggle with perfumes that have caramel and vanilla notes combined. For that reason and the added coconut note, The only one intense could easily be an Alien Goddess flanker.Layer this with Jasmine Wisp by Rasasi and you will obtain a beast mode coconuty and slightly fruity for night out. Anyway, I LOVE this, Dolce and Gabbana are yet to have a coconut creamy vanilla scent that I don't like.

I usually greet my friends with a hug and a kiss on each cheek and it's then when I get the compliments, I doubt people can smell me just by walking past me.I have watched a lot of positive reviews of this so I was very excited to try it, and it by no means is a bad perfume, just not what I expected. if you wear this to a nose of a perfume enthusiast then yes they know it's legit branded but to a nose of non-perfume enthusiast it will not be any special.

I'm glad it wasn't super expensive in terms of how much a fragrance can cost, but it's definitely expensive considering I just bought a 50mL of body splash. I don’t dislike this fragrance, but it’s so overdone at this point, i feel myself cringing whenever I smell black opium and la vie est belle now. I only get a few hours out of this fragrance, but I'm a very outdoor-active, exercising, sweaty, intense dry-heat-living type of person, so most modern fragrances need reapplication for me, if I don't swim or shower the fragrance off first. The powdery, almost sugared notes are very prominent in the opening and it melts down to a sweet, deep, caramel. The floriental-gourmand composition plays on opposites: The violet blossom in contrast to the gourmand aroma of coffee gives character to the scent. They share a lot of the same notes (mandarin, jasmine, orange blossom, vanilla) so the composition is quite similar, but they're different enough to own both. It is pretty similar, although a bit airier, than Black Opium, but Black Opium is in my opinion longer lasting and does not give me a headache. Together, this is a great scent for anyone who wants to try something sweeter but doesn't want a toothache. I'm always happy to get a whiff of this on some of my friends or fellow partygoers on those cool Friday nights of drinking and dancing. And despite its similarity with Libre I completely agree with an earlier review saying that it’s worth having both.
