About this deal

I have suggested stitch markers in several places. Each marker indicates a place in the pattern where a double crochet stitch will be worked into a chain stitch. Repeat Row 3 until you reach the length you desire. Feel free to change colour, on any row that you want. The weight and drape of the yarn make it quite stretchy and hard to measure but my personal scarf is approximately 7 inches (18cm) wide and 95 inches (240cm) long. Row 2: sc in BL of each st up to and including marked st, crochet the 3DC Filet Crochet Graph Pattern below until next marker, sc in BL of each st to end, turn. For this pattern the hook size is not terribly important. If you prefer your stitches be a bit smaller feel free to use a smaller hook – but be aware, as the hook gets smaller the stitches will too, making them more difficult to see.

Repeat Row 2, but the only section that changes is the filet crochet section in the center, according to the graph below I LOVE These Susan Bates Hooks with a polymer clay handle! They are the perfect combo of my favorite hooks with ergonomic handles.Once done, sew the arm sleeves (the 50 stitches on each side) first and last row together using the mattress stitch. For this summer scarf crochet pattern I wanted the stitches to have an open, lacy feel. When paired with the superfine fingering weight yarn a size I9 5.5mm crochet hook gave exactly the look I wanted! This pattern may have the word scarf in it, but I personally will use it more like a shawl, wrapped around me to keep me warm and cozy, yet stylish and fun. MAKE SURE to crochet a CHAINLESS FOUNDATION ROW (combines row 1 and the chain) to make sure the first and last row stretch the same way for the wrapping. Written Instructions for the Sweater Scarf For sizes 2XL and larger, add at least 10 additional rows (to make sure the arm sleeve fits). Finishing

Row 1: (crochet this row at the same time as the chain with the chainless foundation row) 50 sc stitches, place a marker in the last st worked, crochet the 3DC Filet Crochet Graph Pattern below until the last 50 sts, and place a marker in this st, crochet 50 sc sts, turn. Foundation: Chain in Multiples of 2 to create the width you would like then add 6 chains at the very end.Row 4: (O) x 1, (X) x 1, (O) x 1, (X) x 1, (O) x 1, (X) x 1, (O) x 1, (X) x 1, (O) x 1, (X) x 1, (O) x 1, (X) x 1, (O) x 1, (X) x 1, (O) x 1, (X) x 1, (O) x 1, (X) x 1
