I always take re-usable water bottles with me, and an external side pouch is just the perfect place to keep them while traveling. Cut-proof layer — fortunately, I’ve never had to test this. But it may be worth pointing out that the fabric itself is not cut proof, there is just a rigid poly-something plastic sheet between the external and internal fabric to keep a knife from cutting all the way through. Construction: 2 of 5 — The overall craftsmanship is decent, but some of the materials used seem a little cheap/less durable, especially the foam/padding. The stitching is just average, with some loose threads here and there. I’m not sure how well this bag would fare if treated more roughly.

IF YOU'RE planning for an upcoming trip, there’s a chance you’re wanting to invest in some new luggage. Is it a hassle? Yes, I admit it is. But being in pouring rain is already a hassle, so stopping to pull out a rain cover is well worth keeping the bag nice and dry (and it did, thankfully). My main bit of advice is to be aware that this bag is not designed to hold clothes for a weekend trip. Yes, this is one of the cheapest anti-theft bags around and yet it’s also one of the best and most reputable. For a start, all my sacred technology and electrical items stayed safe and damage-free – even those temperamental hard drives during some crazy air turbulence! Aesthetics: 3 of 5 — When the bag first came out I thought it looked really sleek and clean. It still does, but I think the heathered look is becoming a little dated, and I prefer bags that are less water-droplet shaped.Because I just took the jump and bought an anti theft bag myself just a few months ago … and wow, has it changed my travel life or what?!
