About this deal

I knew of Sean Pertwee and Kevin McKidd and liked their portrayals, and thought the remainder of the actors, particularly Darren Morfitt as "Spoon", were top notch as well. The score makes good use of the surround environment, there is good separation throughout; in all a top notch track. I appreciated that this film features a British cast and is set in Scotland (though it was primarily filmed in Luxembourg).

AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM The DC Super Hero’s Action-Packed Adventure Debuts on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 12th! Suffice it to say that I believe the centre focus of the film, the interaction of the soldiers facing an unknown and terrifying threat, is almost a carbon copy of the tense drama faced by the team members in both " Predator" and " The Thing". While both the 4K UHD and 1080 discs in this package sport some new supplements, they don't share all of the same content, as below. While the differences between this version and all of the previous releases are unquestionably dramatic, the 1080p Blu-ray included in this set uses the new master, so those differences are far more subtle. From a technical stance 'Dog Soldiers' may not necessarily live up to some of Marshall's later works but for pure fun, action packed, balls to the walls horror, this little low-budget werewolf flick is really difficult to beat.At first, it seems like just a bunch of guys hanging out in the woods, playing pranks and ribbing each other as guys do. Scream Factory has detailed its upcoming Collector's Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Neil Marshall's Dog Soldiers (2002), starring Sean Pertwee, Kevin McKidd, Emma Cleasby, Liam Cunningham, and Darren Morfitt. The colors are muted throughout the film, with drab earth tones predominating, but once again that’s an accurate representation of how the film was produced.

They encounter a zoologist named Megan (Emma Cleasby) who takes them to a little house in the woods, where they try to treat their wounded and take shelter from the mysterious attackers. It’s still a solid commentary track, even if some of the information contained in it is now a bit dated.

SS has done a variety of styles in the past, Scanavo, Digi-books and digi-paks so not sure what we'll get. I’ve been a fan of Clover’s work since 1992, but I’ve never though of Dog Soldiers in these terms before, so I’m grateful for what Peirse has accomplished here.

They do spend some time talking about another commentary track that isn’t included with this edition (more on that later), so like Marshall’s commentary, there’s some dated or inaccurate information here. The booklet features essays by Alison Peirse, Anya Stanley, Zoe Rose Smith, and Craig Ian Mann, as well as a collection of production stills, and interviews with Marshall and producer David E. And from the beginning, it's clear how scary and intelligent the werewolves are, because they apparently took out a Special Forces unit without much trouble. A History of Lycanthropy is an interview with author Gavin Baddeley, who collaborated on the FrightFest Guide to Werewolf Movies with Marshall. But their night is about to get worse because the werewolves have followed them and it's only a matter of time before dinner is served.
