For fans new and old across Magic and The Lord of the Rings, this is a chance to celebrate with an unforgettable event for an amazing set. We'll show you more about the Magic Celebration event later this year. Cordially invite your players to the Magic Celebration Event taking place from July 7 – 9. This event will bring together fans of The Lord of the Rings and Magic: The Gathering for an epic weekend of fun and games featuring Jumpstart.Launch Party takes place on release weekend, and it provides your players with another opportunity to come into your store and celebrate Limited play with Booster Draft or Sealed events. For any players who missed out on Prerelease, have them sign up for your Launch Party. With a Wizards Account, players can log into MTG Arena, use the Companion app at your store, and more. During the event, help new players understand the benefits of joining, and make sure they know how to find future events at your store.

Scenes range from two by two cards, as seen above, up to six by three cards—an epic 18 cards to show an epic scene at that scale—and there are seven total scenes available in June, five of which appear in The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Draft and Set Boosters, with all seven appearing in Collector Boosters. (The scene above is available in Bundle and Bundle: Gift Edition as well as Collector Boosters and gives you a taste of what to expect.) These materials will guide you and your community through an exciting Commander experience where each player aligns themselves with the Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits, or Gondor & Rohan. The Lord of the Rings is an epic high-fantasy novel by English author and scholar J. R. R. Tolkien. Set in Middle-earth, intended to be Earth at some distant time in the past, the story began as a sequel to Tolkien’s 1937 children’s book The Hobbit, but eventually developed into a much larger work. This film is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential film series ever madePlayers alternate taking turns for Sauron and his forces. Sauron’s forces are represented by three sets of “Enemies” dice. Early in the game, players will face the likes of Goblins and Trolls with The Fellowship of the Ring Enemies dice. As players progress in the game, they will encounter tougher foes such as Wargs, Mumakil and Nazgul with The Two Towers Enemies dice & The Return of the King Enemies dice. If players are not able to defeat all of Sauron’s forces before his next turn, they may not advance to the next stage and Sauron gains corruption. Corruption is spread onto the cards on the playfield making the dice associated with these cards useless while corrupted. If too many cards are corrupted, Sauron has conquered Middle-earth and all players lose the game.

To help support a full season of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth events, each store will receive: Keep in mind that participation promos are only available to players who complete the following steps: WPN Premium stores, in addition to receiving a higher quantity of the promotional dice sets mentioned above, will receive a Photoflyer activation kit; this kit will allow players to take a souvenir photo that will slot into a frame and become a usable 1/1 Human token. August Events

Schedule Prerelease events all week starting Friday, June 16 at noon and reward players for pre-registering with the 30th anniversary promos. You're welcome to distribute them randomly or as additional participation prizes, too—whatever works best for your community. Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce The Lord of the Rings: Journey to Mordor, a fast-paced dice game for two to four players that puts you in the shoes of the Fellowship, racing to reach Mordor and stay one step ahead of the Ringwraiths! Store Championship is a structured in-store tournament that follows many Magic releases, and The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth is no different, with a Store Championship event during its season as well. These events can be a taste of competitive play for your community, leading into larger events like Regional Championship Qualifiers. Players who register for the event using their individual Wizards Account and play 3 rounds of Jumpstart are eligible to receive promo materials at the event.
