By smoothing and softening the skin moisturisers can increase the absorption of other medicines that are applied to the skin. If your condition worsens or you experience any undesirable effects, stop using Hydromol Intensive and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Emollients can be applied as often as you like to keep the skin well moisturised and in good condition. If the ointment comes into contact with dressings, bandages, clothing, bed linen, towels or other fabrics these can be easily ignited by a naked flame or cigarette, particularly if large amounts of the ointment have been used, or the fabric or dressing have become soaked with the moisturiser. Hydromol Ointment is particularly useful for very dry skin and can be used under wet wraps or as a night-time treatment.

Certain items cannot be delivered through this service and therefore this service not be visible in the checkout. It is recommended to consult with a paediatrician before using it on children, especially for young children or those with sensitive skin. However, unless otherwise directed by your doctor, it's best to leave about 30 minutes between applying your moisturiser and applying creams, ointments or lotions that contain a medicine, for example steroid or antibiotic creams. If you apply the moisturiser immediately before or after applying a medicated skin product, the moisturiser could dilute the medicine and potentially make it less effective.
