About this deal

There's a substantial focus on the story and plot while the romance is developed alongside it. There's still a good amount of romance so I wouldn't say either aspect is sidelined for the other. Also, this is not to say that stories that are primarily about the romance are necessarily bad (I've read many amazing mainly-romance stories), but the plot-focus here makes the story feel much richer. Especially considering how the vast majority of BLs are usually mainly about the relationship! Here I am, writing a review for a manga adaptation of a light novel, a review that I’ve put way more thought into than the genre can probably justify. It’s called a light novel, Alex. The clue is in the name. But I’m getting married in a couple days and my brain copes with stressful situations by hyper-fixating on trivial subjects. QED, I’m on Goodreads writing an unnecessarily detailed review with an unnecessarily detailed explanatory introduction, instead of you know MY MARRIAGE VOWS [laughing/crying emoji]. Digital goods, open DVDs and Blu-rays, smart art prints, mystery bundles, and final sale items are excluded from the return policy. This reminded me intensely of The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent. Isekai fantasy romance in which two people are accidentally transported into a new world instead of just one. One of those people is a Holy Maiden who's supposed to help dispel a miasma. Instead of being labeled another potential true "Holy Maiden," Kondou, unlike Sei, was just dismissed entirely as being unimportant. However, Kondou, like Sei, requested to be put to work and immediately began overworking himself just as much as he'd done in the real world.

La trama no se centra únicamente en el romance, ni tampoco lo deja de lado al punto en que te haga preguntarte si llegarán a algún lado. De hecho los asuntos políticos y financieros van muy de la mano con el desarrollo del romance entre los protagonistas. In terms of romance, I really really love that the ML respects MC's decisions. He doesn't forcibly (without any flimsy reason) push for a romance or falls in love with him as if it was a given. But their romance slowly blossoms through continuous interaction with each other, both of them mutually curious about the other person. Yes!! Show us that love!! I confess that the isekai genre is not one of my favorites, even in the BL, but this story caught me from the beginning with its great development of both the world and its characters. Kazuki Irodori’s art, as in the two previous volumes, is what raises this manga version of Yatsuki Wakatsu’s isekai novels to a different level. The mangaka, even though working from character designs by Kikka Ohashi, has made these characters very much her own. Even when the story is at times a little clunky in the way it unravels the plot and the characters’ motivations, her art, and especially the characters’ facial expressions and reactions, still make this a pleasure to read. The bonus story at the end, The Knight Captain’s Mood Depends on His Cushion, provides a delightful, light-hearted antidote to the dramatic events unfolding in the Demon Forest.Do you hear that? Do you hear the sound of the isekai gods finally blessing us with a BL Isekai storywith decent characters, interesting plot, anda unique world? Below I will list some of the factors that make me consider this one of the best BL sleeves I’ve read: The manga's actually based on a light novel and I've read the whole first season already.I can't wait for the next chapters of the manga because their relationship's going to change for good. The light novel was lovely and eloquently written.😭😍 It's so funny. This is what really sells it for me. I would love it even without the humor, but with it, this series just really does it all—it's such an enjoyable experience reading it.

Confieso que el género isekai no es uno de mis favoritos, incluso en el BL, pero esta historia me atrapó desde el principio con su gran desarrollo tanto del mundo como de sus personajes. Cards on the table, I haven’t read a lot of manga. Because I don’t really enjoy it. And I find it confusing. I can’t tell if it’s a cultural disconnect, and I think that may be a part of it, but obviously there are plenty of non-Japanese people who enjoy manga. But I find most of it completely bewildering. And then I feel mildly guilty for feeling like it was written by extraterrestrials, because that seems uncomfortably xenophobic. But as with most things I don’t understand, I can’t help ruminating on why I don’t understand it or like it, instead of shrugging and moving on like a less obsessive person would do.Honestly, I like Kondoh so much because he utilised his accounting skills and math knowledge on his position as an accounting employee in the royal palace. I mean, just like what Aresh said, he could've just live his life in luxury since the kingdom will cover all his expenses so long as he lives but he demands a job instead. I just wish he could at least rest and relax after all his days of endless work. I admire his strong commitment tho. And I beg to differ when those knights says he's plain-looking. He's actually sharp and handsome with an aura that screams 'witty' and 'keen.'😍Gosh, he's one of the most badass uke I've known with brains as the main weapon🔥The seme (Aresh) is soooooo hottttttt and can we appreciate how he NEVER assaulted Kondoh and politely asked for a consent before doing that "deed" to save him?Goshhhh, I want moreeeee😭😍 I love how decisions of the romantic interest of the MC are in favor of the health of the MC rather than by possessive. What’s intrinsically baked into this plot structure is the “they have to have sex because magic” trope. Which, to my mind, exists to showcase strangers having to negotiate physical and emotional intimacy in a way that isn’t possible in reality because it would be rape-y. It’s like the fake-dating trope to the power of 1000. The entire point of stories like this is that two characters are forced to have Feelings with a capital F together, but these two barely discuss anything at all ever. They each individually speculate about and obsess over what the other’s motivation is, but don’t ask the simple questions that they have ample opportunity to ask each other. And I would appreciate them talking to each other because I don’t actually know anything about either of them other than Kondou is a workaholic and Aresh is intimidating. Imagine. Two characters having a conversation that establishes their history, state-of-mind, goals, insecurities, likes, dislikes, regrets, sexual orientation, past relationships, strengths, short-comings, literally anything about them, for both the audience and the other characters. So that they can establish, I don’t know, a relationship or something. That’s a thing that romance stories typically have. But no, I still don’t even know if either of them actually enjoys the sex they’ve had on multiple occasions. Which is a problem. I can deduce that we’re supposed to assume they do enjoy it, but I’m not reading this fluffy fantasy BL manga for the opportunity to make cognitive leaps, okay. So far this has been a cycle of interpersonal conflict, tension, out-of-the-blue sex, and fruitless speculation, which was fun at first but is steadily wearing out it’s welcome. Los momentos íntimos no son gratuitos, en el sentido de que no aparecen porque sí, sino que tienen una razón y justificación cuando suceden. Ok, kinda informal review, but I just had to say that THIS SERIES IS GREAT. Not only is the concept so refreshing for a BL (isekai where the MC is a corporate slave—and yes it's a BL!), but it's actually executed so well!
