About this deal

First off, we would like to note that the unit has a narrow profile and is only 3.5-inch tall, 8-inch deep, and 14.25-inch wide (the front cover is 3.5" x 16.315"). With such a low profile, the King heater conveniently fits under kitchen or bathroom cabinets, providing warm air all around. Also, it can be installed into the soffit area above the cabinets or into stair risers. The grill extends long enough from the sides to cover the mounting tabs. Installing the Winterwarm heater won’t be an issue as it’s quite compact at 41 x 11 x 21.5 cm and can be built into a wall, a kitchen cabinet or under cupboard. The device plugs into the electric mains and the one thing we aren’t too thrilled about is its 2 KW power consumption. While heaters tend to eat up quite a lot of energy, we hoped a smart device like this would offer a budget setting of sorts. However, between the 2 options of low heat and boost mode, the difference is only in the amount of warmth expelled. The wattage stays the same regardless of the temperature you set on the thermostat.

The power drawn by the unit is something you need to consider as if it is under 2kW you could plug in, although this is not recommended. From 2kW to 3kW you would need to use a FCU (fused connection unit) and it should be on a dedicated circuit but would depend on what is already in use. Over 3kW there is no option but to use a dedicated circuit like used for cooker or shower. The heating efficiency of this model is good. As we've mentioned, it doesn't seem to consume a lot of energy. The unit works on 2 kW and can effectively heat up rooms up to 29 cubic meters in a relatively short time. You work out what size (and type) plinth heater in exactly the same way as you calculate what size radiator you need for a particular room. You need to work out the required BTU’s or Watts and then install the right amount and sizes of heaters to meet this requirement. It has a wireless communication function for the replacement of an existing TRV head as well as app capability when connected to the Unisenza Plus Gateway. The Quiet-One 2000 offers high BTU output at low decibel levels. Maximum BTU output from a small footprint is the hallmark of the Quiet-One 2000 products. This ensures maximum utilization of floor and wall space in such rooms as kitchens and baths where space is at a premium. Easily InstalledThe fan only comes on when the heating is actually on, and is quiet. There is a cooling fan for the summer months too.

If these cannot be routed to the desired location easily you might have to consider other options. Low voltage model are available for use in bathrooms or areas of high humidity.Once you have this information is it is relatively straight forward to choose the right size plinth heater for your needs, Most manufacturers publish specification sheets for their range of plinth heaters which show the output, although some complicate things further by showing different output values for different central heating system temperatures. If the room where you are going to install this heater is quite far from the boiler and you don't want to draw pipes to it, it may be better to use an electric heater. Moreover, keep in mind that hydronic heaters require some time before they start warming the room, while the electric ones will leave you in the cold if the power outage happens. Heating Area Other than the space that they save they are considerably cheaper, certainly than retrofitting, under-floor heating which is the other great space saving heating solution. And you can’t deny getting your toes warmed while washing up on a cold winters evening is not a blessing! They are connected to the mains electricity to power a fan that blows the heated air into the room. In the next section we explain about the different types, however the disadvantages of a plinth heater tends to be the noise cause by the fan and, particularly after long periods on not being used, dust can collect in the heater which burns and smells on first use. The final thing to consider is whether it be possible to install one of these heaters n the location you would like to. They will need power, and on most cases access to the central heating system, if it not just an electric heater.
