About this deal

The GRG121DX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2012. It is as part of the entry-level GIO line. Other than that, the playability feels good on this one. Although I needed to adjust the action as it was a bit high during delivery. So, start wiser and buy cheaper guitars like GRG121DX. Once you have mastered your passion, you can upgrade your guitar. You can either upgrade your existing guitar or look for something high-end. Super nice matte finish. I have that guitar for more than one year, and the matte finish is like totally new!!

The Ibanez GRG121DX is made in China. So you can expect lower build quality when compared to others made in Korea, Japan or the United States. Guitars made in this country are meant for mass production, which translates into less attention to detail and quality control. This doesn't mean the product is made poorly at all. Chinese products have a bad reputation since long ago, but they've definitely improved a lot the last few years. However, since the mahogany is a hardwood and the maple is sturdy, the overall weight of the guitar leans towards the heavier side. The GRG’s sound might not be the envy of a veteran session player, but I bet it would go further than you might expect in a studio shootout. Aside from its great sound, the GRG is Here's the Ibanez GRG121DX's 25.5" scale length compared to other common sizes: Ibanez GRG121DX's scale length (at the top) compared to other popular sizes

One of the best things about this guitar is undeniably its price. It’s a bargain and anyone could chill out a few hundred dollars for a nice-looking guitar. This is a low-quality nut that you might want to consider upgrading soon. Bone and TUSQ nuts are the best for guitars with a fixed or simple tremolo bridge. Initial production from 2012 through 2014 was in both China and Indonesia. From 2015 through 2017 it was produced only in Indonesia. From 2018 production was moved to China.

The Ibanez GRG 121 DX is an entry level guitar, good for beginners and may please a little to intermediates aswell.

Another important thing to analyze is the nut material, as it's one of the most important aspects that can affect the sound and playability of your guitar. A well-cut nut will make sure it stays in tune and will make it more comfortable to play. Fixed bridge because I'm not particularly interested in a tremelo arm hanging around and adding the uncertainty over tuning stability Knowing where the instrument is produced is a good way to know how well it's built. Some manufacturing countries are known for having higher quality standards. For example, most expensive instruments are made in the US or Japan, but there are some exceptionally great countries—like South Korea—that are building a good reputation. Also to its playability, it’s also versatile and durable. So, this is a guitar that beginners can maximize to master their craft and bring out the metal prodigy in them. Like every genre, metal music has its traditions. Drop tuned power chords, screaming solos and plenty of distortion. The GRG121DX is designed to handle even the heaviest of riffs with prominent mid range tone to help you cut through the mix. Over three decades of design, the Ibanez RG has been a heavy hitter in the world of metal. With a modern feel, great playability and amazing value for money, this a great choice for any budding shredder. Sound
