Following his early stage experience, which saw him producing and directing a play at the Edinburgh Festival, which went on to win ‘Student Play of The Year’, Josh then spent over 10 years in the film business, where he gained a varied range of creative and financial experience on both sides of the Atlantic. In the earlier books Grace has always been a maverick, with a slight fondness for consulting mediums. International theatre includes the HEIDI trilogy (Switzerland and Germany, Prix Walo nomination); LAST DANCE (Off Broadway) and BEN HUR LIVE (London and Rome).

In 2006 Josh became Associate Producer, and subsequently Producer, for one of the UK’s leading and most prolific theatre companies, Bill Kenwright Limited. Laura Whitmore began her acting career at a young age with the Leinster School of Music and Drama in Dublin.She played Stacey Barrett in the most recent series of Marcella, and Polina the Inferni in Shadow and Bone. During his time on The Square he has received many accolades and awards including: Best Newcomer, Best Actor, Most Popular Male Actor and Best Soap Award (National Television Awards), Best Male Actor (ITV Soap Awards), Best Soap Actor (TV Choice Awards), Soap Personality of the Year at the TRIC awards and Best Male Actor at the Rose D’or television festival (Europe’s BAFTAs).
