Some horror games use vents to sneak around or find clues, but Poppy Playtime uses vents as a means of transportation. Within the vents are conveyor belts that need to be powered on to function and take you from place to place. The first use of this function is when you go from the staff to the Make-A-Friend section.

After managing to momentarily escape Huggy and landing on a brittle catwalk, the player pulls a crate onto the crumbling structure just as Huggy bursts from the vents, causing it to collapse. Though the player manages to land safely on another catwalk not far below, Huggy strikes the railing and proceeds to fall into the abyss on the facility, slamming into several pipelines and leaving behind dark red blood splatters. In Log 08502, Huggy was briefly mentioned as Experiment 1170, and was dubbed the most optimal subject, as he possesses the ideal amount of intelligence and is obedient to the scientists working at the company. Most of the chapter is atmospheric and consists more of sounds you would get from interacting with the environment. The atmospheric sounds have a few droning notes and piano notes. It adds to the mystery of the factory and helps aid the suspense and build-up of the game.
