Notably, the Spider-Man figure can be posed like he appeared on the front cover of Spider-Man's first appearance in 1962's Amazing Fantasy #15. Beetle – An agent of the Latverians who was sent to New York City to retrieve a symbiote sample from Roxxon who debuted in the "War of the Symbiotes" storyline. During and before his theft, he was approached by Spider-Man. At first, the Beetle tried to avoid having to fight him. Ultimately, Spider-Man's interference foiled the Beetle's theft by inadvertently causing him to drop the symbiote sample, and making it worthless to retrieve. However, another variant didn't surface again until as late as Series 6, where variants of Cable, Phoenix, and Series 3's Wolverine were released.

Early in the Toy Biz run, (series two), a variation or 'variant' of series one's Hulk was released. It included a torn shirt that wasn't included with the original.
