Show a mummy, mum or mama how much she’s loved, in a beautiful personalised book featuring her children! A celebration of a child's love of mommy, this title makes a wonderful lap read but will also serve well as a readaloud for an audience. Parent: a really cute concept for all the previous time a kid spends with their mum, but I did have some issues with the book.
This book is a nice simplistic book, especially good for EYFS and potentially KS1 as the language within is simple and the illustrations aid the reader.From birthdays to Mother’s Day to ‘just because’ days, I Love Mummy This Much is the perfect personalised keepsake that she’ll never expect. Being told from the perspective of the baby (or toddler), children will be able to relate to the events in the story or even point out things that they do with their mommy too. Personalise the story with mum’s name, whether she’s a mama, a mummy, stepmum, grandma – or something unique!
However I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that it doesn't ever mention any dad figure and the baby is sleeping in the mother's bed.There are many of these types of books out there but the illustrations make this one stand out as one I really like. Along with mum’s name, the children’s names and adventurers also appear on the cover of the book, making each copy utterly unique.
It was quite a cute book but it’s hard to review it when you’re not a small child and don’t have much dealings with them. However, it IS the perfect for parents to read to babies or toddlers because of the simplicity and sweetness of it all. Nice book about reasons children love their mums, although the same could be applied for any family member if a child has an absent parent.But the rhymes work and there's lots of kid appeal in the pictures, bold enough for toddlers but with funny details for older preschoolers. Although this books seems a little babyish for my girls now, we did laugh at the idea of dancing in our underwear and enjoyed the questions at the back of the book.
