En cambio, también dice que él ha visto cosas impensables e incluso violaciones grupales sin inmutarse, porque los libros de esa época tiene un poco de fetiche con que el protagonista sea un insensible ante la desgracia ajena y eso de la un toque de "interesante" o "intocable", no sabría muy bien cómo definirlo, pero en general es una actitud lamentable. How could someone live like this? Somehow, I could imagine him being obsessed with earning more morning and being at the top, and a little break could make him think he would lose everything. Had to suspend some disbelief for this book. Honestly, the heroine didn't recognize the hero because he wore an eye patch? That's it? If he'd been horribly disfigured or something, I might have understand why she had no idea who he was, but just an eye patch? This is like the Clark Kent/Superman thing, right? And truly I think the heroine had more cause to be pissed off with the hero, rather than the other way around. Did he have so little faith in her love that he'd believe her responsible of the actions he claimed she was? Leí esta novela hace muchos años, justo después de leer The host, y me gustó. Fue el primer libro que leía de Connie y me sorprendió mucho. Pero después... bueno, con el tiempo olvidé esta historia y le cogi mania a Guy. No me gusta como Guy se comportó con Bliss y como esa venganza y esa falsa traición lo lió todo. No creo que Pirata sea una novela memorable ni una épica historia de amor.
