Version 3.x uses custom xinput1_*.dll file. Some new games or old games after their latest updates do not permit custom xinput1_*.dll file. Therefore version 3.x doesn’t work with these games any more. To solve the problem, version 4.x was created, which doesn’t use custom xinput1_*.dll file, but creates virtual controller. Currently we are working on version 4.x update, fixing bugs and moving from Microsoft's old “Windows Forms” to latest “Windows Presentation Foundation” application interface. Berardini, César A. It seems clear that for almost any way you could judge the three, the Xbox 360 S is the winner. The only advantages the E has is similarity in design to the Xbox One, and perhaps a slight noise difference. The "classic" 360 is probably cheaper, but buying one used is slightly risky. The one on the left is the "old style" Xbox 360. There were a couple of versions of this, and some early models did not come with HDMI ports. You're only going to buy one of these if you buy used, and I'd be careful. A lot of the early run had issues with overheating and were prone to the "red ring of death." In August 2014, Microsoft announced and released a new 500 GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 S console model, [33] currently the largest hard drive available for or with any Xbox 360 model. a b Hollister, Sean (2010-07-02). I recently went through the process of choosing one and ended up going with the S. MS claims the E is quieter and runs cooler than the S. In all my research I found that to be bullshit. Perhaps it runs a little cooler, but as far as noise goes they were identical. In other words, both were pretty much silent except when a disc was spinning, and even then it was near silent. The real difference that convinced me to get the S instead was build quality. The E feels and looks cheap. And as others mentioned it's also missing features from the S. So basically MS is saving money when you buy an E model, but you're not. Buy the S. Microsoft debuted the E console saying it would run quieter and cooler. During my few weeks with it I did notice those two things to be true, but nowhere near the dramatic improvement going from a "classic" white 360 (the 2005 version) to the 360 S (2010 version). If temperature and noise are your two biggest reasons for seeking an upgrade, allow me to talk you out of it. Wasson, Scott (2005-05-19). "Details of ATI's Xbox 360 GPU unveiled". The Tech Report, LLC . Retrieved 2020-11-07.At the Xbox's press conference at E3 2013, Microsoft announced two new consoles. One being the much-anticipated Xbox One, and the other being the Xbox 360 E. Original style consoles also have two front-mounted memory card slots for the system's proprietary Memory Unit. These can be used to transfer profile and game data from one Xbox 360 to another. Memory Units up to 512MB are available from Microsoft. The "Arcade" model formerly came with a 256MB Memory Unit, but with the Jasper motherboard revision of September 2008, the "Arcade" model began to include 256MB of built-in flash memory. This was later increased to 512MB. The memory card slots were replaced with USB ports on the newer Xbox 360 S models.

That said, there are some more subtle differences under the hood that give each unit its own set of pros and cons. Using a script or add-on that scans GameFAQs for box and screen images (such as an emulator front-end), while overloading our search engine Bottom line: if you want to do anything fun on the 360 beyond playing single-player games, you'll want to budget the annual Xbox Live Gold subscription into your plans -- or plan on getting one of those alternatives instead. Bottom Line: If reliability is really your only concern, then grab an Xbox 360 Elite console with a Jasper motherboard. That being said, both the Xbox 360 S and E models are also pretty solid in the reliability department, but Elite owners are missing out on some key features that came with the later consoles.
