About this deal

The EarPeace Concert Earplugs are made of soft silicone that slides in and out of the ears very smoothly. There is no hard plastic or scratchy surface to damage your ears. Additionally, the soft silicone won’t push too firmly against the edges of your ear canal, reducing total pressure in the ears.

One of their highlights is the low 11 dB NRR rating. While this could be a negative for some, they make the perfect earplugs for concerts that are just a tad too loud. When it comes to earplugs, comfort has to be one of the most critical factors for us – well, apart from noise reduction, but we'll get to that. As we typically wear plugs for upwards of four hours in a rehearsal room, the slightest discomfort is amplified dramatically by the time you near the end of the jam session. These high quality earplugs are built to be barely visible thanks to the unique transparent filters and a re intended to be used over and over again, simply clean and store them after use. W hich earplugs are best for live music events? Alpine earplugs are made of a comfortable soft thermoplastic material, which is silicone- free and shapes to the ear canals with your body heat. You can wear the earplugs all day or night long, without any irritation to the ears. They are barely visible and last for a long time.Alpine PartyPlug earplugs attenuate the higher tones a bit more. These earplugs offer good protection, don’t make you feel isolated and allow you to hear conversations well. They are comfortable for hours and the music also remains properly audible. If you for instance use the earplugs for going out or an occasional festival, the PartyPlug is a good choice for you. But if you go to festivals or concerts to really enjoy the music, the PartyPlug Pro Natural makes the difference between good and outstanding musical sound quality. The reality is that concerts are often too loud, with the average being between 110dB to 120 dB. Almost double a normal conversation which is at 60dB. Today we look at how Concert Earplugs made for festivals and raves prevent hearing damage without lessening the experience at live music events. Now I know sound isn't that straight forward, so perhaps I'm misunderstanding what these values mean? But yeah, if the PartyPlug ones also attenuate higher frequencies more then the listening quality will presumably be similar to the MusicSafe ones so I may as well only get the MusicSafe earplugs. If anyone could help me out here that would be great! Cheers :)

The ears of babies and toddlers are even more vulnerable than those of adults and still in full development for the first few years. German research shows that one in eight children suffers permanent hearing damage! ENT specialists are also worried about the increasing number of very young children with hearing damage that they find in their waiting rooms. That is why it is very important to use hearing protection for children. After all, their ears still need to last a lifetime. You’re looking for filter earplugs for use during festivals, concerts and going out. Which offer you good hearing protection but still allow you to enjoy the music. In terms of universal hearing protection, Alpine offers you the PartyPlug and the PartyPlug Pro Natural. What is the difference and which one is the best choice for you? The filters are the biggest difference. The PartyPlug Pro Natural has linear attenuation (dampening) filters and the PartyPlug has non-linear attenuation filters. We’ll explain exactly what this means.Damaged cilia do no longer pass information through to the brain, deteriorating your hearing. It can also occur that they pass incorrect information, such as a buzz or a ring (tinnitus), you become over-sensitive to certain sounds (hyperacusis), hear sounds distorted (distortia) or hear differently with both ears (diplacusis). A temporary buzz or ring in your ears after visiting a festival or concert already indicates damage to the cilia. The chance of it becoming permanent increases each time you overburden your hearing again. The Partyplug is a respectable choice for listening to music of medium loudness. The sound quality is acceptable. In addition, the earplugs are not very visible when worn. That makes them a good choice for bars, pubs, not very loud concerts, and similar venues. The Partyplug is a rather weak earplug and does not provide sufficient protection for really loud concerts (only 8.8dB at 63 Hz up to only 25.4dB at 2000Hz). If the music is really loud, then stronger earplugs should be used. Foam earplugs are usually stronger. A good choice for a foam earplug is the Bilsom 303 due to its good sound quality for a foam earplug. If sound quality is important, then by far the best choice are the custom molded ER15 or ER25 earplugs, but they are much more expensive. Also have a look at our article on listening to music. Invisibility If I didn't already have tinnitus and didn't want to be as cautious - I'd say you could probs use the PartyPlug ones for both seeing music and performing. If it's safe enough for seeing music I'm sure it's safe enough for when you're playing yourself. The PartyPlug ones do dampen the sound quite a bit though, so you end up having the music quite loud (bad for your neighbours?) and if you want to talk to someone you will have to be talking quite loudly (not very social outside a loud music environment where everyone is already talking loudly). Obviously, the big draw of the Loop Experience Pro are the loop mute filter inserts. Visually, they look like they would do absolutely nothing to reduce incoming sound, but they do work. Just fit them into the outer ring to reduce noise; no battery or electric parts required. Traditional foam earplugs are only decreasing the volume of high frequency (treble) sounds, but not low frequency (bass) sounds, which is what causes the sound that you hear to be distorted when you wear them. Concert earplugs lower the volume equally at all frequencies which allows you to hear sound clearly, just at a slightly quieter volume.
