Dark Horse Books and SEGA present the Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-Speed-ia--a must-have volume for any fan of Sonic, young or old" Hero Chao's appearance as a spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not included anywhere in the section. Factoid: Small information boxes that provide canonicity information, cut content, localisation differences and other minutia data for different aspects of their respective video games. The description for Twinkle Circuit claims that this Action Stage must be completed before Sonic can access Twinkle Park. In reality, Twinkle Circuit is an optional Action Stage for Sonic.

Living Shadow: He resembles one quite well, especially when his Battle Aura is activated, and bears some similarities to Blaze's concept art ◊. Feet of Clay: Infinite presents himself as an extremely deadly, nigh unbeatable monster no one stands a chance against... but he's actually a psychopathic bully who's power is literally all illusions. On top of this, he proves to be extremely incompetent, due to putting his sadism over actually being effective. Anniversaries ( 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th) · Conventions ( Sonic Boom, Sonic Party 2002 Summer Festival, Sonic Party 2003 Summer Festival, Summer of Sonic) · Fast. Friends. Forever. · Franchise timeline · Ken Penders' legal cases · Project Sonic · Sonic 2020 · Sonic Generations of Skate · Sonic in Sydney · Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary Symphony · Steve Aoki x Sonic Concert · Sonic Symphony World Tour

Hero Killer: Downplayed in that the only people he actually kills are the Avatar's teammates, but he effortlessly defeats other powerful characters such as Sonic, Silver, and Omega. Malevolent Masked Man: Wears a metallic mask shaped like a fox's head and is one of the main villains of the game. An unmasked Infinite is on the receiving end of this to Shadow in Eggman's Facility in Mystic Jungle, which would lead to his Start of Darkness and him becoming Infinite. In Metal Madness' section, it states: " His glowing weak points change color, showing which skill type he's currently immune to." The " immune to." fragment is accidentally also added to the end of the Metal Overlord's description, leaving a broken sentence. The Angel Island Zone's profile erroneously states that " A carpet-bombing by the Flying Battery sets the second act ablaze". In truth, Angel Island Zone is set ablaze in Act 1 by a battalion of Fire Breaths.

And I Must Scream: Never outright confirmed, but strongly implied by the "Sonic Encyclo-speed-ia" to be his ultimate fate — "consumed" by the Phantom Ruby alongside the prototype Ruby. It largely depends on whether or not he's still alive and conscious in there.

Greed: Infinite also has a desire for raw power and domination, both to sate his desires of making others suffer and for the glory of becoming the most powerful warrior who ever lived. In the " Team Rose" section, despite Chao being genderless, Chocola is referred to as Cheese's brother. This is consistent with the game, though. Dragon-in-Chief: Subverted. Eggman probably couldn't have defeated Sonic and taken over most of the world without him. Though Infinite would be absolutely nothing more than a sellsword without Eggman giving him the power of the Phantom Ruby, so it really all evens out. Ultimately, in spite of Infinite's impudence towards Eggman heavily implying a betrayal, it is the doctor that ultimately dismisses him and takes the Phantom Ruby for himself after he fails too many times. Deal with the Devil: Issue Four: Rise of Infinite reveals exactly who Infinite once was: he was the leader of a band of thieves before Eggman offered him and his band the chance to work for him, having been given a glimpse of Infinite's own secret desires and tempted him with the chance to see them realized. And true to the trope, Infinite finds out too late he was on the losing end when Eggman decides he's screwed up one time too many and shows Infinite he was just a disposable pawn the entire time. In the description for Scenario Mode, the name " Dr. Eggman" is incorrectly used instead of " Dr. Robotnik".
