These series were pretty short running. Fantastic Four only ran for two series, X-Men ran for four, and Hulk ran for two. Butterfly shoulders and swivel calves wouldn’t have worked because of the costume, and I’m overall very satisfied with the flexibility.

The New Mutants are absolutely my jam, and I’m jazzed to finally, finally get a Boomer figure after decades of waiting. Perfect costume choice, perfect bubble-great blowing alternate head, perfect time bomb effects and time bomb hand… this is everything Tabitha Smith fans could have hoped for. Mega thumbs up.

Young Professor X ( X-Men: Apocalypse) with alternate Old Professor X head and Young Magneto with alternate Old Magneto heads ( X-Men: Days of Future Past) My favorite thing about this figure is actually the fact that it comes with three—count ‘em, three—unique head sculpts! There’s a stoic/neutral portrait, an angry/yelling portrait and a jovial/smiling portrait.

NOTE: the purple X-23 was announced as the variant, but was shipped to stores in larger numbers and in non-variant cases. Some folks are requisitioning Blink’s teleport ring to use with Nightcrawler, while others are using magic effects pieces from the Doctor Strange Legends Nico Minoru or even buying Tamashii effects to use. Any of these will work, but will also cost you extra. Look for other Hasbro Marvel Legends Series figures (each sold separately) with comic- and movie-inspired characters from the Marvel universe! A special series mostly dedicated to characters and costumes from prior Marvel Cinematic Universe films that hadn't been featured in previous movie waves, as well as updating iconic characters.

When Hasbro took over the license in 2007, they started right away including new Build-A-Figures.
