In period the Merlyn showed promise with Chris Irwin running well in several races, challenging Jackie Stewart on occasions and claiming a win at Aintree. Following a period in storage, we have rebuilt the car using a specialist manufactured replacement monocoque, roll hoop and suspension components. Built for torque - very usable and will pull from just below 1000 rpm - rev limiter set at 7000 rpm. This is a unique opportunity to own one of the last few remaining Johnny Walker JW4's and with a full history.Offered for sale at approximately a quarter of its development cost, and would make a superb hillclimb, modsports or track day car. Turbo work and wastegate rebuilt by Turbo Technics and the engine was run in and dyno’d by Aldon Automotive. Powertec ZZR1100 (Powertec security tag still in place), running circa 180bhp without the RamAir filters.

I would however recommend a new battery and for this reason the seat has been unbolted to gain access. MBE 9A4 ECU controlling engine and XoomBox ECU to control air paddle flatshift, traction control, launch control and data logging.

It is currently 'on the button' fitted with a Suzuki GSXR K7 1000cc engine tuned by BSD Performance for which I have the invoice. Ian Dayson of Force has replaced the front stub axles and roll hoop stays to ensure that the ROPS is fully MSA compliant.
