About this deal

Rise of the Beasts’newest Transformer characters come from Beast Wars: Transformers, which aired for three seasons from 1996 to 1999. The show represented a rapid departure from previous Transformers media. Though a sequel to the franchise’s first generation, the show takes place hundreds of years after the events of Generation 1, with almost entirely new characters. Narratively, the series focuses on the battle between the Maximals and the Predacons, the descendants of the Autobots and the Decepticons, respectively. While the first generation’s characters famously transform into automobiles, the Maximals and Predacons transform into a diverse array of animals, from Optimus Primal’s ( Garry Chalk) gorilla to Megatron’s ( David Kaye) tyrannosaurus. Additionally, the series also changes the traditional animation style previously used to bring the Transformers to life as one of the first fully computer-animated programs. After thanking Rattrap for helping him save Justin, he received a warning for his actions to never happen again. Part of the first wave of Beast Wars Deluxe toys (sort of, see below), Cheetor transforms into an organic, big cat-like creature somewhat resembling a cheetah. As such, he is yellow and covered in spots. In robot mode, he is armed with a rifle made out of his hindquarters and tail, along with a second water-squirting "quasar canon" formed out of his stomach. As with most early Beast Wars toys, he features a " mutant head" that replaces his face, although because the entire head is mounted on a cabinet-style vertical swivel, it is difficult to keep the mutant head set in position. Cheetor's function among the original Axalon crew was never revealed, but given his tendency to favor speed, and his development of flight capabilities as a Transmetal and after becoming Technorganic, it is possible he was the ship's pilot.

His appearance in Beast Wars Metals manga bears a striking resemblance to Son Gohan from Dragon Ball Z.Cheetor comes with a Golden Disk card that " reveals a possible destiny of a key character", with each character having three possible destiny variants.

Eyes of a stalker hunting its prey... The super-swift cheetah springs! But food is not on this hunter's mind... Optimus Primal vs Megatron! He later said of Rodimus's past "I'm not lookin forward to the day they chronicle my early bonehead adventures onto a datacon for all the world to see." And soon enough, his cold exterior may have just fallen away. Or could his processor be mistaken? Language: English Words: 114,948 Chapters: 24/? Comments: 5 Kudos: 117 Bookmarks: 17 Hits: 3,705 When the Decepticons constructed a Planet Smasher on Earth's moon, the Autobots travelled to the satellite, Bumblebee using the low gravity to dance around the aerial Decepticons before their enemies retreated behind a force field. After breaching the field and shutting down the Planet Smasher, the Autobots followed into an underground bunker. Sea of Tranquility While unable to catch up with the Decepticons, the Autobots were able to disable the planetary engines with which the Decepticons intended to destroy Earth. As Optimus made a statement to the human race, Bumblebee noticed an animal watching them only for it to disappear when he tried to show it to Hot Rod. Bad Moon RisingWhen Tigatron turned up, Cheetor fast bonded with "Big Cat" and looked up to him. Tigatron's eventual (assumed) death left him greatly distraught. Noah and the Autobots meet the former follower, a creature called Dinobot looking for the Maximals to atone for his past sins. But how could they trust him with the battle of Scourge still a shadow in their minds? Cheetor fired the first shot of the Beast Wars. First he shot at Waspinator, unprovoked, and again at Megatron while Optimus was attempting to negotiate. This Micro-Changer assortment was the last one to appear at Target, with later waves showing up only at Toys"R"Us or drug/discount stores. Part of a set of four Kabaya candy toys, this version of Cheetor, based on the original toy, is an unpainted and unassembled plastic kit that transforms (and partially re-assembles) from cheetah to robot mode, though much smaller (and cheaper) than the original toy. It is cast entirely in pale yellow and grayish-tan plastics, as are the other three toys in the set: Dinobot, Rattrap, and Terrorsaur. [2]

While Optimus went onward to retrieve the Allspark, Cheetor and the Maximals disagreed with the Autobots over the importance of the Allspark and the nature of their own mission, until Rattrap pointed out that Primal had also gone missing. Kingdom episode 4 Cheetor and the other Autobots and Maximals soon re-united with their respective leaders, but they brought bad news: the AllSpark, separated from Cybertron for too long, had begun to die. After a brief stand-off against the two Megatrons, the Maximals and Autobots returned to the repaired Ark and prepared to launch before the Predacon-Decepticon alliance launched a full-scale assault, and as the heroes besieged the enemy starship Cheetor and Tigatron faced off against Ravage. Ultimately, however, the battle ended with the Ark itself assuming its new robot mode and toppling the Decepticon flagship, allowing the heroes to take the two Megatrons and their followers prisoner before blasting off. Kingdom episode 5 In reality, his Transmetal body was in conflict with the alien "Transmetal 2" power infused into it by the transmetal driver. While unconscious, he would undergo a mutation into a feral beast that acted with savagery and aggression. With Optimus Primal's help, he finally gained control of the power and rejoined the rest of the Maximals, who were surprised at the rapid changes to him. Sadly, this release has no individual-identification code on the bag, requiring you to use the feel-through-the-bag method or just buy blind and hope.

The Takara Beast Wars Metals release of the Transmetal Cheetor toy features a number of small but notable changes from the Hasbro version. The most immediately noticeable is that the "CHEETOR" tampograph on his beast mode was changed to "CYBERTRON" and the Maximal faction symbol. The other changes make Takara's version closer to Cheetor's show appearance than the Hasbro version: green robot mode eyes (Hasbro's version has light blue), painted cheetah teeth (Hasbro's are unpainted), and the gray plastic is more blue-hued than the Hasbro version's semi-French-gray.
