As it looks like a giant tablet, our first instinct was to paw HiMirror’s screen to make it work but it’s not a touchscreen. Spotify is the only music streaming service supported at the moment and you can connect your account via the HiMirror app. While it’s a nice addition, our homes already dozens of devices capable of streaming music on demand at a higher level of sound quality, especially homes with smart speakers. For that reason, we weren't particularly inclined to use the HiMirror Plus+ for Spotify. After this, the mirror will take you through setting up your voice commands and facial recognition and it’ll give you a tutorial on using the motion-controls. The mirror is largely gesture-controlled, which is incredibly cool in person. After you take a selfie, simply wave your arm in front of the mirror, which turns into a display, to move through the menu and see each component of your skin analysis. This also keeps your mirror from turning into a mess of smudged fingerprints. Juggling YouTube on a phone, applying makeup, and looking in a mirror at the same time can be a royal pain. Sometimes, the makeup artist I'm watching moves too fast, leaving me with foundation all over the screen in my frantic attempt to rewind. This thing is feature-rich. Owning a HiMirror Slide smart vanity mirror is like having a 24/7 skin care, beauty and makeup assistant. The Mobius Hi is a slip-on sandal with a hollow loop-shaped heel and a single band that forms the sole, heel, footbed, and upper of the shoe. The home screen of the tablet shows off the date, time, and weather all the time. Scroll down to find some skin and fitness tips, which sometimes get cut off if the tip is too long (the company is looking into it), and all the way at the bottom you'll see installable apps. Unfortunately, there's no app store or anything of the sort. Where the Slide really does shine, though, is in its special features. What are the Slide's smart features? Smart Body Scale should not be used to diagnose or treat any medical conditions. Always consult your doctor to determine what is ideal for you.

The lights aren't just for making every detail on your face crystal clear, though. Slide open the tablet side of the mirror and you can set brightness levels and color temperature. There are five options: Sunny Day, Bright Office, Supermarket, Restaurant/Party Room, and Sunset. It allows you to see how your makeup will look in these common, if not oddly specific, environments.
