Hi, I drained the the central heating, to remove a radiator. After refilling it, the heating now won’t work. I needed a replacement as an old on had fractured near the base. This was all I needed so seemed a good place to get it without having to buy a whole valve and bits and i did not have to troll around the various plumbers merchants. If this happens, you may be able to loosen it up by tapping on the valve body multiple times. Tap very gently with something like the end of a screwdriver. I haven’t spoken to Drayton Technical yet as previous experience with ‘technical departments’ has rarely been truly helpful. Any help or ideas please? It's like the the heat causes the plastic to become brittle and eventually snaps. Not a great design!
