About this deal

In all honesty, this is not only one of my favorite reads this year, but one of my favorites from author Trisha Wolfe.

Come se non bastasse, ha anche un quoziente intellettivo altissimo, sa ogni cosa di London e di chiunque altro, gli basta schioccare le dita ma il suo cervello lo sa già. As she unravels the traps, her sanity tested with each game, she's forced to acknowledge the true evil in the world around her. But what if, although their methods are not acceptable in society, deep down if our loved ones were hurt we wouldn't at least in our darkest moments, consider the same actions? I saw evil in this story and I damn sure heard it so that saying needs to go sit in a corner right now and take a nap. Yet he finds justice and mercy in his actions- because all of his “victims” have choices- that’s how he offers clemency. So right this second I closed that last page off and I’m sitting here flabbergasted, reeling, gob smacked, running over everything I just read, trying to make sense of it, twists and turns that had me spinning like a spinning wheel out of control, such a unique, suspenseful, things are not so black and white as they may seem, a nail biting read that has me wanting, needing, craving, stalking the next book in this series. Throwback to that time last year when I'd gotten so good at folding paper swans that I'd managed to pretty perfectly fold this nano Swan that fit in the pads of my thumb. Grayson è un manipolatore di livelli indecenti, ogni parola che lui pronunciava era una manipolazione, persino io, lettore, sono finita nella sua trappola. I loved the way Grayson stroked London’s childhood history out of her and I loved her physical response to him. I’m going to do two things right now- add Wolfe to my to-look-out-for authors list and then start Born, Madly.

This man should’ve made me sick to my stomach with his past transgressions but there was so much more to him. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The characters are well fleshed out, their relationship is messed up but was so fun to read about 🤣. And as his trial looms closer, and his connection to London grows stronger the tension proportionally increases. This book is that perfect treat for all those dark romance junkies out there, who just cannot get enough of the depraved and the dubious morals; so if you are one of those, then I guess I cannot recommend this enough.

It wasn't all that attractive, and being a pacifist - murderers and serial killers and people who take other peoples lives in general? The characters are fucked up, the story is fucked up, the romance is fucked up, even the writing is fucked up - in a beautiful way because I loved it - overall everything is fucked up.

I was so fucking entranced by her world building- perhaps more so than I was with this story itself.London’s waited for a chance like this to fall into her lap, to delve deep into the mind of Grayson. idk if it's lawyer in me talking but i didn't feel it's justified just because he was killing rapists or people like that.
