the scent is just gorgeous. it’s so sugary sweet but somehow not overwhelmingly so. sometimes sweet perfumes can give me a headache, but this one doesn’t do that to me. Was looking forward to trying this to see what all the fuss was about. Disappointing is an understatement - it's bloody revolting.

When I wear BR I do go noseblind to the bubble it engulfs me in within a relatively short amount of time, but I do know this has insane longevity—at least 16+ hours. Above average sillage for 3-4 hours then very slowly settles to a skin scent. I’d say that’s pretty awesome performance! Someone has smelled this over 10 feet away from me before after wearing for around 3.5 hours into my work shift and they said “Oooo what is that?!” Of all the fragrances I’ve owned, I’d pair this along with Oud Vibration by Roos & Roos as having the best longevity I’ve yet experienced. I've since changed my mind on this and prefer the Extrait again. I've gone off the edp quite a bit and find it quite boring compared to other perfumes I've got since. I do find it makes a great base for other perfumes though and nearly always use one of the dupes of it before my scent of the day. I don't reach for the Extrait much either but I do prefer it now and it might get worn more in the colder months. Yeah, it’s so different to whatever else is out there. I’m not surprised at the notoriety but what I am surprised by is that it evokes happy feelings in people. To me this is a scent of a dying android from Blade Runner. I see Rudger Hauer delivering this famous line: My recommendation is to test and see how many sprays work for you. Overspraying this might cause anosmia faster, and it's a shame since I, too, want to enjoy the smell, not just the ones around me.I read once how this a fragrance of the high-earning, immaculately dressed, deeply fatigued London elite, how it hangs in the air of the Zone 1 Underground. Nước hoa With this "Rouge 540", I learned how a name that would fit very well with a model of any Ferrari car, plus the extra load given by the title "Extrait", raises the expectations of any perfume. After so many comments from my "perfume friends", I decided to give it a go with a test. The extrait has better longevity. The ambergris note in the dry down is stronger in the extrait. I’m not a big fan of ambergris. So both will be a pass for me. But after I used soap and water to wash them off, I could still smell both of them on my arms. I then washed my wrists for the second time and sprayed another different perfume on my wrists. Even after the new perfume completed faded, I could still smell 540, especially the extrait. It’s crazily strong. The EDP was also noticeable, but not as strong as the extrait.
