About this deal

I laughed out loud at every page, written perfectly so I could almost hear each ghost's voice as I read. And if I got that just from the sneak preview, I can only imagine the full read will be everything us fans could want and more. She fills her days with swimming, fishing, quilting, and baiting the tourists who arrive from the city with more money than sense. This is a scrapbook providing background material on each of the characters, it gives insight into their characters and preoccupations and is lavishly illustrated throughout. The only reason I couldn’t give this one five stars (it has to be simply immaculate for me for five stars), is that I struggled to read the handwritten sections of the book.

Even a double page of the Radio Times schedule with each ghost circling what programmes they will watch really sums them up. So many little in-jokes and you could hear the characters coming through with every insert and feature, chuckling along and enjoying the little insights into their living. I’m the biggest fan of Ghosts and the show is my ultimate comfort watch and totally won’t embarrass myself by saying how many times I’ve watched it, but the book is the most perfect companion. We're delighted to finally be bringing this idea to life with Bloomsbury to produce something we hope fans will treasure. I’m a big fan of the show and getting this awesome delve into each character was so much fun and insightful!

I got the button house book as a present which I thoroughly enjoyed, but hearing the characters read it took it to another level and was great timing after the end of the tv series. Current owner of Button House, Alison has compiled an archive of artefacts concerning each of the ghosts. Gathered together in this volume is a treasure trove of unearthed cuttings, original records and rare artefacts that explore the unseen lives of those who died at Button House: from Thomas's love letters to Pat's ‘Summer Camp Rap’, and from Julian's campaign promises to Lady Button's Rules of Etiquette. The ghosts of Button House may have been dead a long time - some of them a very long time - but they have all left their mark on the world (even if, in Robin’s case, that mark is just a handprint on the wall of a cave).

Additionally, the plan is for the stars to sign books "at events around the country in the run-up to Christmas".

One of the tourists is Evan, taking an enforced holiday from his family and work in Belfast after breaking down after the death of his daughter in infancy. We will post your book review within a day or so as long as it meets our guidelines and terms and conditions. She hasn't left the village since a traumatic stay in London as a young woman at the end of the 1980s. But let's be real, it's a companion to the excellent TV show Ghosts which I adore so it was perfection. It encapsulates each ghosts personality perfectly, you can just imagine hearing these inserts in their voices.

It is the perfect Christmas gift and I'm looking forward to seeing the fans dressed up in their favourite 'Ghosts' costumes for the events. It combines everything I want the non-fiction Bloomsbury General list to be: quality and best-in-show entertainment with broad appeal.I’m glad they decided to release a book as it really does give us a further opportunity to get to know more about the ghosts and enjoy a bit more of the show we all know and love. If you enjoy the TV series Ghosts, this book should be great fun, judging by the pre-publication sampler. Some of these are in the form of handwritten letters which can be a bit hard to read but overall it's very funny and true to the show's characters. It doesn't say anything too new but there are many intricate but minor details about the ghosts' past lives through the form of artefacts such as letters, newspapers, photos, other correspondence etc. Gathered together in this volume is a treasure trove of unearthed cuttings, original records and rare artefacts that explore the unseen lives of those who died at Button House: from Thomas's love letters to Pat's 'Summer Camp Rap', and from Julian's campaign promises to Lady Button's Rules of Etiquette.
