About this deal

Cystease tablets should be given once or twice daily to an average sized cat. Once the problem has been brought successfully under control, it is often possible to reduce to a lower rate. This can be increased again if a stressful period or event is anticipated. Most cats will normally have another episode, but there are steps you can take to limit this possibility. Stress reduction is the best way to prevent repeat problems. How can I reduce my cat’s anxiety or stress? For this scenario you will need to use a FELIWAY Classic Diffuser, all you need to do is plug this in where you cat spends most of their time. Leave it plugged in at all times and replace the refill monthly as you need.

Or just doing some research? My local vet (not a specialist ) is always happy to call a colleague or look into something further if she isn't sure. My question is, should I continue to regularly use the Cystease or should it just be used at times of stress or my cat showing urinating issues? I found it took around a month for the Cystease to start to have an effect - it needs time to sooth the bladder walls so 2 weeks isn't very long. I shouldn't think two would hurt, but I'm not a vet and obviously no idea if what you have is the same strength etc.

You also have the functionality to pause your subscription on easy repeat, simply go to ‘My Account’ to do this. Edit, just found out the new cat is un-neutered but does have an owner in our street, i guess its attracted by the food my neighbour leaves out. FIC is normally treated with a course of anti-inflammatory medication. This often worries cat owners because, in some cases, where they are dehydrated or have low blood pressure, these medications can cause kidney problems. However in the vast majority of cases they are very safe. Will my cat get feline idiopathic cystitis again?

Ingredients: contains N-acetyl D-glucosamine which helps to replace and maintain the glycosaminoglycan layer that lines and protects the bladder mucosa. Possible Stressfactors: - Moving House,Building work, Inter-cat conflict (for example inmultiple cat households),new arrivals in the home(pets or people), owner stress, reduced access to outdoors, boarding in a cattery, cat travel, loud noises, etc.A healthy urinary tract is important for a healthy cat. Interactions between several body systems including the bladder and nervous systems can affect your cat's urinary health. External influences in todays busy environment can also affect your cat's state of mind.

Ceva have launched Feliway Cystease, a new urinary tract support supplement for cats. An elaboration on the original product, Cystease S, the new version contains N-acetyl glucosamine, L-tryptophan and Hyaluronic Acid. When cats have cystitis it means that their bladders are inflamed. Feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC) describes cystitis which has an unexplained medical cause. It is a really common condition and is not normally a serious health concern, but can be very uncomfortable for your cat.I've just bought some for Mia - more to see if they'll help with reducing her stress than the urinary side of it Cystease contains ingredients to help relieve stress and support the bladder, it does not contain any urine acidifiers. A urinary diet is the mainstay of preventing repeat urinary issues to it is advised to continue this if your vet has recommended one. Don't loose hope - you are definitely on the right path, but you also need to be patient. This can be a fairly long journey to achieve a good result. We're 2 floors up and there has been a new cat outside, theres usually one hanging about, my neighbours feed it even though it has a home near by but recently there has been 2, i didn't think it would be the reason seeing as the cats don't come into our building and my cats don't go outside...but my hubby has just come home and said he thinks the cat outside was spraying against the cars so im guessing even though i can't hear it or smell it that my cats can.

The best way to help your pet is to stop conditions from developing in the first place. Of course, we can’t always predict when a UTI or other cat urinary condition happens, but as pet owners, we can take some good steps to defend against other issues. Products like Uri Balance make a good supplement to a healthy diet, help reduce the risk of bladder stones, and can be worked into your cat’s food schedule easily. You can also add other supplements to your cat's diet, and to help with that we carry a range of cat vitamins and supplements for you to consider. MiPet CatEase helps to support and preserve the protective glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer of the bladder. It also contains L-tryptophan which is used in the brain to make serotonin, the happy hormone. Stress is thought to be the most significant cause of FIC in cats. This is because anxiety has been proven to cause a special layer of the bladder which protects it against the harsh chemicals in urine to become patchy. When the tissue of the bladder is exposed to urine, inflammation can occur. If you find that you are receiving your deliveries too often, or not often enough, you can alter the frequency of your easy-repeat deliveries.MiPet CatEase helps to support and preserve the protective glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer of the bladder. It also contains L-tryptophan which is used in the brain to make serotonin, the happy hormone.. What I want to know is - do I *have* to give him the Metacam? As far as I can tell, it's a painkiller used after feline surgery rather than an antibiotic, and he doesn't appear to be in any pain - he hasn't strained for a wee, he's active and happy which is a massive improvement on yesterday morning. I stupidly googled Metacam and was instantly hit with stories on cat death, so at the minute I'm really against giving it to him - 5kg is almost half a syringe full. Stress can adversely affect the integrity of the bladder lining of your cat and unfortunately there are many factors that can cause stress in cats. Inter-cat conflict, moving house, new arrivals to the home environment and car travel, to name just a few. I am a HUGE fan of D Mannose and would definitely try him on that as @chillminx recommends. It is a very fine powder which dissolves easily into food and none of mine have refused to take it. Small dietary changes, plus long term Cytease and twice daily metacam during flare ups helped my girl Lucy a lot.
