There’s little reason not to OC, considering there’s no throttling either. I love that the touchpad is skewed a bit to the left, since the keyboard keys are shifted slightly due to the space bar. We need to push for same stuff for Legion for sure. I could never imagine myself tearing my new laptop apart so fast to pull out those flex cables for side and vents LEDs, i totally cant wrap my head around the fact that we have no control in BIOS over that crap show and have to jump through the hoops. Maybe you can use this info in some of your articles to catch some of Lenovo attention, you guys are big and one of the best on review scene, it can make good circles on the water for em to hear and fix it finally. On an anecdotal note, I also played Control on the Legion 7i for about a half-hour to get a personal feel for what gaming on this laptop is like. With ray tracing off and the game running with high settings, I generally hit between 98 - 108 fps at FHD and between 58 - 65 fps at 2560 x 1600 (depending on how much action was on screen). Turning ray tracing on had me hovering around 66 fps at FHD and 32 fps at 2560 x 1600. During this time, the fans were pretty loud and the vent on the computer’s right-hand side was consistently blowing hot air on my mouse hand. This was a constant across all settings. It turns out the best Intel gaming specs you can get on a laptop also make for pretty strong productivity performance, at least against other high-spec gaming laptops. With its 45W Intel Core i9-11980HK CPU, this laptop’s productivity potential easily outclassed the Intel Core i7-11800H on the Alienware x17 configuration we tested and even the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX on the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE.

The idea is that you can set-up the keys to react differently based on how deep you are pressing them, and you can customize the behavior per each game, which can come in useful in certain simulators or driving games, among others.
