But I would have been a happier reader if the two of them had more substantive conversation, or if I didn’t have to read about Nora’s lackluster cooking. She speaks with Leo for the first time since he left, and he tells her that their affair mattered to him. The banter was super cute between Nora and Leo and I appreciated that the bedroom scenes were PG rated. Her daughter, Bernadette, 8, is delighted to have a movie star staying at their house, but Nora’s son, Arthur, 10, is more unsure. I can't remember a more enjoyable flight - even though I wore a mask the entire time and didn't eat or drink anything.

I don't choose Rom-Com's much anymore as they mostly feel similar but when you see many of your GR friends loving this particular Rom-Com, I mean REALLY LOVING it, I had to check it out. I loved so many things about this novel, but I have to say I almost gave up after the first three pages. I didn’t find it had much depth and that might be due to the fact that it isn’t a very long book with lots of different things happening.
We don’t really know, and she doesn’t either, which makes the book hum with her constant low level anxiety that he’ll leave her, just like her ex. This book is more about writing than acting, and my favorite takeaway from the story was that life gets messy when you fictionalize your life for everyone else to read/watch. Imagine her surprise when she ventures out on the front porch, cup of coffee in hand, to watch the sunrise and see's Leo Vance wrapped up in a blanket and sleeping soundly.

Not that she ever came out and said that but just from random comments that seemed a bit avaricious in nature. When the protagonist, Nora Hamilton, falls in love with the movie star playing her ex-husband in a movie she wrote, she feels like she has entered a world of pure fantasy.He’s at the her patio for watching the sunset with her, appearing in her kitchen to criticize her turkey meatball cooking skills, befriending her daughter Bernadette, giving advises her son not to chase his acting dreams when he becomes adult! It was cute, had a little humor, and I really liked Nora, who was authentic and didn’t pretend to be anyone else.
