Store the bottle in a refrigerator or a cool dry place. DO NOT leave it in the sun or expose to heat. For deeper infections soak a hoof for 45 minutes (you will be able to deep soak two hooves in the 90 minutes the solution is active) Immerse the hoof completely into the Cleantrax solution (If a bag is used, pull the top of the bag up above the knee and tie or tape it closed). Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Soaks, Oregano Oil, Tea Tree Oil - All of these have their fans too! There is a wide variety of ways to use oils topically, and ACV makes an extremely mild and effective soak for mild thrush, yeast and shedding frog problems.

We needed to soak his hoof, actually we treated all 4 because it would not hurt and knowing the organism was present we took no chances. But to me it looks like the stuff works! My barefoot trimmer swears by it. I know you go barefoot, too. What is it in New Jersey this year that I am hearing about so many hoof problems? The Resources are provided with all faults, and the entire risk as to satisfactory quality, performance, accuracy, and effort is with the user.

I always liberally sprinkle Gold Bond (or the generic form) in hoof boots prior to putting them on my horses feet. By "liberally" I mean almost 1/4 cup! I also strongly advise that it be used for horses in rehab who wear boots for more than a few hours each day. Boots hold moisture in, and create a great environment for thrush. Any one of those could also have gone towards causing this I think - as I really do think i've got control of his diet so would like to be able to rule that out as a cause! Oxine DOES NOT need to be mixed with Citric Acid to be used! It can be very effective if mixed with water. Citric Acid activation makes it a more powerful soak. My farrier also said Clean Trax made by Equine Technologies he has had good results with with his clients....

Step 2. Remove the inner cannula

Equine Cushing’s Disease is a hormonal disease of older horses caused by a benign growth of the pituitary gland at the base of the brain. These horses generally are around 20 years of age but the disease has been recorded in horses as young as seven years old. CleanTrax Hoof Cleanser 25g bottle : CleanTrax is a deep-penetrating hoof cleanser - a real solution for hoof infections. It is used in conjunction with the CleanTrax hoof boot or a reinforced plastic bag. Since then, on another horse, we used White Lighting Gel with a duct tape boot. It worked equally as good.

Bacteria and fungi naturally exist inside the hoof wall in a mutually beneficial relationship. In “Taking the Mystery Out of White Line Disease,” SBS Equine researchers Dr. M. John Partens and Dr. Richard Shakalis explained that each organism breaks down in the hoof in a different manner. For ongoing deep or bad recurring infections repeat the soaking every two to four weeks until signs of improvement. CleanTrax is a deep penetrating hoof cleanser proven effective in eliminating even the toughest infections, in most case with just a single application. Developed by a leading U.S. chemical company, this same unique material is being used to treat deep-seated fungal infections of the fingernail and toenail in human patients. It is also used to irrigate surgeries and open wounds to eliminate the risk of secondary infections.

 Step 1. Collect your supplies

Posted on Tuesday, Apr 13, 2010 - 8:49 pm: Well...7 years after the last post i am going to guess at the penetration. I bought these very tall soaking boots, and you have to mix it up in the 1 gallon per foot with the clean trax. I let it soak 90 minutes on both front feet. I am wondering if the water is so high in the boot, it is causing the solution to go up into the tubules? Yes, for CleanTrax to work, the horse can't be shod. The metal of the shoe somehow inactivates the chemicals in CleanTrax. Soak the hoof for 45 minutes. If the infection is bad or recurring, extend the soak time to 60 minutes.

A drop of chain lube on threads of tension knobs will keep it running smoothly (Image credit: Courtesy) e. Attempting to copy, duplicate, reproduce, sell, trade, or resell our Resources is strictly prohibited. I just got my girls feet done last night and the farrier told me that both have thrush (which I figured as much) but also the beginning of White Line. She told me it is very very mild and isn't a cause for worry but to take care of it. I love my girls, so obviously I will! To protect the horse’s feet and keep them free of infection, CleanTrax can be used preventatively soaking each hoof for 20 minutes every 3 to 4 months. One aspect of the treatment that most people disregard is the importance of **really** cleaning the frog thoroughly on a daily basis and prior to treatment. Depending on how severe your horses thrush is, cleaning has different meanings. iv. Impersonates any person or entity, including any The Digerati Group LLC employees or representatives. CleanTrax is safe to use on open wounds and will not affect the quality, colour or appearance of the skin or hair. Monitor hoof development for one shoeing interval (4-8 weeks) and, if necessary, repeat the treatment Type a trainer problem into Google. You will find no shortage of people referring to the belts used inside, using automotive belt conditioners and all manner of things to extend the life or make them run smoother etc.
