For the curators book, The Scole Experiment: Scientific Evidence for Life After Death,Professor Arthur Ellison (Electrical Engineering) wrote the Foreword, Montague Keen (a specialist in the history of SPR investigations) wrote a chapter describing the scientific investigation at Scole, and Professor David Fontana (Psychology) wrote The Afterword summing up the evidence that had been collected. In 2022, in preparation for the 30th Anniversary of the first significant Scole phenomenon (1993) in 2023, ScoleGroup members – Robin Foy, Alan Bennett, and Diana Bennett – instructed Grant Solomon andJane Solomon (officially appointed collatorsand curators of The Scole Experiment material since 1998) to digitally publish – with universal free access for study and discussion ('educational purposes only') – all The Scole Files, including Notes and Transcripts regarding the audio recordings of the 'Communication' during the500 x 2-hour sessions of The Scole Experiment. Repeatedly, throughout the Scole Report, the authors state that no evidence of fraud or deception was found. For example:Membership of this association of people interested in The Scole Experiment evidence for survival of the human personality into an Afterlife is free and open to all. the investigators encountered evidence favouring the hypothesis of intelligent forces able to influence material objects, and to convey associated meaningful messages, both visual and aural.'

After making their way down the winding stairs and through a solid oak door to the midnight blue cellar, those who took part in the Scole Experiment would be seated around a round table in the middle of the room. They also had tasks to perform after the sessions. Diana was responsible for transcribing the numerous audio tapes which were recorded during sessions. At the time of the Scole sessions, Alan and Diana, the trance mediums during the Scole experiments, were married with four, grown-up children.Soon after The Scole Experiment began, an array of spirit and other c ommunicators made themselves known to the Scole Group during the experimental sessions. They conducted serious scientific research during 500 experiments collecting data - photographs, audio, video, voices, light phenomena and other manifestations observed by witnesses - and seeking evidence for survival of the human personality or 'consciousness' into an Afterlife, using an entirely new and unique 'energy-based' approach. Although Alan and Diana were ostensibly 'unconscious' or in 'trance' during many of the experimental sessions, they, along with the Foys, undertook any necessary preparation for the experimental sessions, e.g. acquiring materials requested by the Spirit Team.
