Mapei Ultracolor Plus creates water repellent grout joints that have excellent colour uniformity. All colours are resistant to UV rays and atmospheric agents. Mapei Kerapoxy Epoxy Tile Grout is a two-component, epoxy-resin based product with silica sand and special components, with excellent resistance to acids and excellent cleanability. This is a product with very low emission of volatile organic compounds and is classified Emicode EC1 R Plus by GEV when used for grouting. The following features are obtained when used correctly:

Mapei Ultracolor Plus is suitable for grouting walls and floors in areas that are subject to intense traffic, such as shopping centres, airports, restaurants and other public spaces. It is also suitable for residential use in all areas, such as facades, balconies, terraces and swimming pools.From interior walls and floors to swimming pools, pathways, patios and even commercial areas, grout can be the thing that keeps your tiles looking better for longer. With DropEffect technology, and anti-mould properties thanks to state-of-the-art biotech technology, Mapei grout is suitable for tiling most areas of the home and beyond - including those that experience high volumes of foot traffic on a daily basis. Mapei Ultracolor Plus Tile Grout is made up of a blend of special hydraulic binders, graded aggregates, special polymers, water repellent admixtures, organic molecules and pigments. After the final cleaning operation, if the surface still has traces of Mapei Ultracolor Plus due to incorrect application, it may be cleaned down with an acidic cleaner (e.g. Keranet), by following the relevant instructions, at least 24 hours after grouting the joints. Only use Keranet on surfaces which are resistant to acid, and never use it on marble or limestone material. This means, when choosing the best grout for your tiling project, you’ll need to consider the specific needs of the job. For example, interior decoration projects where you’re concerned with aesthetics alone will likely lead you to choose a different option than that of practical outdoor tile installations. If you are installing one of our hard-wearing outdoor tiles, you'll need a grout that’s fully equipped to handle exposure to increased moisture and dirt, as well as extreme temperature fluctuations between the seasons.

When resistance to acids or, where extreme cleanliness or sterile conditions are required, use a suitable acid-resistant epoxy grout. Sponge down the area: using clean water and a damp (not wet) sponge or sponge float, wipe down the tiles and grout lines to remove the remaining grout, ensuring the grout lines have a smooth, even finish. In areas that may need added protection against stains and chemicals, such as countertops or high-traffic areas, we’d recommend investing in the Mapei Kerapoxy or Mapei Kerapoxy CQ grout. Both tile grouts provide exceptional resistance to acids and boast stress-free cleanability, meaning you can keep your grout lines looking clean and colourful with ease. If the cleaning operation is carried out too soon (the mix is still too wet), some of the mix may be removed from the joints.
