About this deal

The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED series TV has a sleek and elegant design that complements any room’s decor. Its slim bezels provide an edge-to-edge viewing experience, making it ideal for watching movies and TV shows. The TV also comes with a stand that provides stable support or can be mounted on a wall using a VESA mount. Picture Quality Let’s cut to the chase: the 55A7GQ’s picture quality turns out to be hugely disappointing, especially as it arrives amid a generally upward trajectory for Hisense TVs. Assembly is easy and, like before, there’s a cable clutter system to route cables through the protruding ‘feet’ of the stand for a tidier area. The stand supports the TV well, just like it did on the older model, but it takes up a lot of space. The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED Series TV comes in a 55-inch size, making it a great choice for medium-sized living rooms or bedrooms. However, if you’re looking for a larger TV, Hisense offers a range of sizes in their QLED Series, ranging from 50 to 75 inches. The larger sizes provide a more immersive viewing experience but also a higher price tag. Along with HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision, the Hisense 55U7QFTUK is Dolby Atmos-enabled, but the modest two 10W speaker arrangement doesn’t do much to create a sense of space to the sound. Watching the Kiln prison break scene in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2, the flying machine gun drones all sound far too close to the panel itself to add much excitement.

While the 55A7GQ is cheap for a 55-inch TV, this is definitely one of those times where a low price doesn’t automatically equate to great value. Never miss the action with Sports Mode Watch the action unfold seamlessly with Smooth Motion, reducing blur and screen lag for clearer, more fluid scenes. Boost your chances of winning with input lag less than 20ms. Let’s start with what’s good. The bezel is discreet enough to not intrude on the TV viewing experience, and the depth of the set is just 78mm without the stand, making it appreciatively slim in appearance.

Conclusion

Considering it's one of Hisense’s top-end TVs, there's no getting around the fact that the 55U7QFTUK is a disappointment. Second, while the 55A7GQ’s colours are routinely impacted by the screen’s inescapable grey overwash, there’s enough subtlety in the way blends and tones are presented to reveal that the TV’s core colour processing is pretty good, in keeping with other Hisense TVs we’ve seen recently. There are several settings and processor modes that you can use to try to find a balance that works but, ultimately, none of them fully solve the underlying problem. It’s a shame because there are some good things about this TV’s picture performance. Second, the 55A7GQ’s upscaling of sub-4K sources is rather basic. On the upside, the upscaling does quite well at making pictures look sharp, adding eye-catching emphasis and definition to lines, edges and textures. Unfortunately though, the upscaling seems to make little if any effort to distinguish source noise from real image information, and so ends up sharpening and emphasising noise as well as ‘real’ image information. It also tends to over-exaggerate grain.

The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED Series TV does not feature an 8K resolution. However, Hisense does offer 8K TVs in their product lineup, such as the Hisense U8GQ 8K ULED TV. 8K Resolution provides even more detail and clarity than 4K, but it’s worth noting that there is limited content available in 8K Resolution. Additionally, 8K TVs have a higher price tag, so it’s important to consider whether the additional Resolution is worth the investment. This cookie is set by the Bazaarvoice. As a big-screen fitting for sports and movies, it also starts at a slightly cheaper asking price than the U7QF model it replaces. But does the more affordable price suggest the A7G is a downgrade on what came before? Design

The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED Series TV comes with four HDMI ports, connecting multiple devices, such as gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, or streaming devices. The TV also has two USB ports, allowing you to connect USB drives or external hard drives to play your favorite movies and TV shows. The TV also has a built-in Ethernet port, providing a more stable and reliable internet connection. With its 20W speaker system, the A7G offers a soundstage that’s flat and not especially dynamic. Given its size, a decent soundbar is a must, but judged on its own merits it offers solid clarity with dialogue; a presentation that’s clear, crisp and pleasingly sharp but refrains from wondering into sibilant territory.
