GIRL JUST STFUđŸ˜©anyways
hm what other side characters were there. i don’t like the boys’ mother at all. i don’t really like anyone but jameson, grayson, nash, libby, and avery. Firstly, the characters. This book was from the point of view of Avery Grambs, a teenage girl who suddenly inherited an enormous fortune from billionaire Tobias Hawthorne, a guy she'd never met. His will said that, for her to get the money, she had to move into Hawthorne House, the sprawling, mystery-filled home of the wealthy Hawthorne family. Once she's moved in, she teams up with the handsome grandsons of Tobias Hawthorne to solve the mystery of why she inherited that money. I know a lot people found THL to be super boring and no plot progression whatsoever but honestly I absolutely adored everything in this book. This is the most invested I've been for a book in literally over 3 months. The mystery was so addicting and the tension !! I'm in love and now cannot stop thinking about this book so THANK YOU JLB <33

there was something about the way he looked at me when he said those words that made me realize i might be the one person on the planet with the ability to make grayson hawthorne question himself and the decisions he'd made. Now poor Avery has to live in Hawthorne Manor with the very same grandsons who were all but cut out of the elder Hawthorne's will. That isn't awkward at all. i was a survivor. i took care of myself. and i wouldn’t let myself want or expect anything from him.” Avery is a poor teenager who lives with her older sister who is constantly in this off again, on again thing with an abusive boyfriend. One day, she finds out she's become the heiress to one of the nine biggest fortunes in the world-- even though she's pretty sure she has no relation to the eccentric billionaire. So why her? That's what everyone else in the family would like to know, too. The Hawthorne Legacy begins one week after The Inheritance Games finishes. Avery Grambs and Jameson Hawthorne are talking in the tunnels underneath Hawthorne House. Frustrated they have not been able to solve the mystery of Toby Hawthorne, the youngest son of Tobias Hawthorne, Sr. He is believed to have died twenty years ago after a tragic vacation to his private island with friends. The bodies of Toby’s friends were found; his was not.

Retailers:

grayson wanted me safe, and i wasn’t. having inherited the hawthorne fortune, i might never be safe again. when you're ready, if you're ever ready, if it's going to be me—just flip that disk. heads, i kiss you." his voice broke slightly. "tails, you kiss me. and either way, it means something." I had a lot of fun with this continuation. The Hawthorne Legacy may not be perfect, but it's pretty freaking fun.

I know a lot of y’all are #TeamJameson (don’t worry, we can still be friends), but can we just talk about Grayson for un momento. I'm so hyped for the finale and really sad that soon I'm going to have part from these guys😭 Pleasee don't break any of the Hawthorne boys' hearts, JLB. Libby and Nash fly to Costa Rica, where they meet with Nash’s birth father, who is the caretaker of Tobias’ home there. Jake Nash gives them a vial of purple powder they use to reveal the secret message written on the paper found in Colorado. It is a note from Tobias that says he has always known Toby didn’t die on Hawthorne Island and that he had been actively looking for his missing son for years. The letter directs them to a safe-deposit box that contains papers relating to the search, including the official police report from the incident. The Hawthorne Legacy was one of my most anticipated releases of 2021, just like The Inheritance Games was one of my most anticipated releases of 2020. There’s a lot to love about this duology; from the character dynamics to how it constantly keeps you on your toes. It also requires a lot of brain power (not really, but if you’re like me and live in detective mode then you better pay attention to EVERYTHING). LIKE GRAYSON TAUGHT HER HOW TO SKI AND USE A LONGSWORD?? plz I love him so much and the way he's hurting so much over what happened in the past *sobbing* even tho this book ended with avery + jameson, i get the feeling next book's gonna end with avery + grayson, and im fine either way just as long as one of them doesnt end up forever heartbroken or something😭

I love Avery. She's literally so smart and the way she wouldn't let her personal feelings get in the way in trying to find solve the case was really admirable. Also, being able to show no emotion on her face?? I wish I could do that -- it sounds so cool and it'd be really useful for me during those games of chess i lose. okay here it goes. the romance. yes this is what i want to talk about. i have a problem with how jennifer wrote the love triangle.

The other thing that really got on my nerves is the dialogue. It's somehow both bland and pretentious. It's basic as can be, but presented as if it's some sort of witty repartee worth savoring. Then to further rub salt in the wound, random dull sentences are treated like epiphanies, italicized and repeated over and over, just so the reader wouldn't miss it when they come across it for the tenth time. first of all
i’m terrified for bruna to read this portion. shei and sel pls help me. bruna is gonna ban me from our gc and we’re gonna be fighting AGAINđŸ”Ș PDF / EPUB File Name: The_Hawthorne_Legacy_-_Jennifer_Barnes.pdf, The_Hawthorne_Legacy_-_Jennifer_Barnes.epub Grayson: Level of annoyingness 8/10 Grayson is also either brother numero dos or tres. He doesn’t really do much throughout the entire book. He’s just
kinda there? Still, he was annoying. He was annoying at the beginning and got even more annoying as the book progressed. His four grandsons and their mother are understandably puzzled by the whole turn of events. Is Avery possibly a con-woman of some sort, come to steal their vast fortune? Toby tells Avery although she’s not his biological daughter, he’s always thought of her as his child. He informs her he was there the night Avery was born and he named her. Although Avery begs Toby to stay, he says that he can’t. His punishment for what happened on Hawthorne Island is permanent exile. Lastly, the romance. The romance was just SO GOOD. In Book 1, i wasn’t an ENORMOUS fan, but it got so JUICY in this one. I honestly think this is one of the best love triangles I’ve ever read- if I hadn’t been spoiled, I would literally have no idea who she’d end up with. If y'all are wondering
STILL #TEAMGRAYSON. ILY GRAYSON <333 Okay, and then there's the broody older brother, Grayson, who I absolutely despised at first, but he's actually so sweet??? I can't blame him for always putting his family first sdfsdfs what is this? Me falling in love with two potential love interests for the love triangle?? oh no, not good, not good. *cries* is it too much to ask for both of them to be happy? ah, its been so long since I last read a mystery and this just made me remember how much I miss it. Once again, I have fallen in love. The characters, the plot, everything about this was just amazing.
