About this deal

It actually does a lot more than trim, though, it allows you to edit the image's brightness, contrast, and color, as well as several other effects. This week, the World Photography Organization announced the shortlist for Student and Youth Photographer of The Year, part of the broader Sony World Photography Awards of 2024. Featuring a newly designed body that's waterproof to ten feet (three meters), the Fuji Z33WP's front panel holds a Fujinon-branded 3x optical zoom lens offering a range from a 35mm-equivalent wide angle to a 105mm-equivalent telephoto. Printed Results: Our sample of the Fuji Z33WP showed pretty severe softness all along the left side of the image, but it wasn't just a matter of a tilted sensor chip: All corners of the frame were very soft, so we suspect if the left side had been sharper, the right side would have gotten worse.

Compact, cool, and ready to rise to any challenge, the FinePix Z33WP is available in five daring colours to suit your style – Kiwi Green, Hawaiian Blue, Daredevil Black, Liquid Gold and Rock Chick Pink. As far as shooting options go, the Z33WP is fairly lean, as it's designed for simple snapshot photography. The center mode uses a small area in the center of the frame to focus on, while the multi mode looks for a high-contrast object near he center of the frame and uses that to focus on. To make room for that screen but keep the body small all of the controls are in 2 columns so if you're used to a more typical camera control layout will take some time to adjust to. On top is a power button and shutter release that has an unfortunate swooping design that frequently resulted in me missing shots because I wasn't pressing in the right spot.

The center of the frame stayed usable at an 8x10 inch output size up to ISO 400, but was a little marginal even there - And the soft corners still dominated our impression of the images. We will not give out your e-mail address to anyone, nor use your e-mail address for anything other than to contact you with our pricing information for the item you requested. We saw the same pattern across the zoom range of the Z33WP: moderate sharpness in the center of the image, but very poor sharpness at the edges.

The Z33WP uses a 256-point array to judge the pattern of the subject, but there is no way to manually control this: you have no access to the common center weighted or spot metering features, which allow you to control which parts of the frame are used to judge exposure. Sony is bringing a shutter angle setting to its two more affordable alpha-branded Cinema Line cameras, the FX3 and FX30, with a firmware update. Automatic exposures used well-chosen settings to balance blur against noise in low light, but the relatively gloomy f/3. Summer time means visiting the seaside, riverside, or your local pool - these are times for fun in and out of the water. This was especially annoying when the camera was in auto mode, as it often mistakenly chose night mode when shooting indoors, which seems to crank the flash up even more. The Fujifilm Z33WP and Olympus 550WP are in almost a dead heat for the title of least-expensive underwater-rated digital camera, but each has its own particular set of strengths and weaknesses. If you want a compact camera that produces great quality photos without the hassle of changing lenses, there are plenty of choices available for every budget. The lens is completely internal, sealed up tight behind a piece of glass that's easily wiped clean of water and dirt. As for noise suppression, even though it appears to be active, blurring the image, there's plenty of chroma noise to go around even at ISO 64. As usual, image quality degraded as the ISO increased, but we felt that images from the Z33WP did so a bit faster than those of some of its competition.
