About this deal

We do need to point out one thing that some could consider an elephant in the room, though we don’t. On paper, the Honor 70 doesn’t seem too different from its predecessor, the Honor 50. (What happened to the 60? No idea.) Honor has brought a big battery capacity upgrade to this phone - one that’s more than proportional with the upgrade in screen size, processor, or any other feature that might be demanding for battery charge.

The soundstage is a touch more expansive across the frequencies, too, although that is a more closely-run race. Ultimately, it's the extra detail – the cleaner leading edges of notes, the emotive quality of vocals –that makes the Honor Earbuds 3 Pro the clear winner across the course of our listening. The call noise reduction performance comes from the HONOR lab, and the actual performance varies depending on the factors such as the surrounding environment and terminal. But now onto the lesser lenses, the 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP depth-sensing and 2MP macro snappers. The former is useful for taking snaps with a wide field of view, but pictures aren’t quite as colorful or high-res as those produced by the main snapper. It’s a 5G phone, so you can connect to these networks if you live in an area that supports them (and have such a contract).

At €199, it is budget-friendly, but the phone itself doesn’t look cheap. You get a decent amount of storage too at 128GB. All of this aside, the fact that the Honor Earbuds 3 Pro won’t have the promised temperature sensor in the UK and EU markets is the only minor blip in an otherwise exhaustive suite of features. As detailed in other sections, the software works hard to optimize the performance of this phone. We were dazzled by the animation complementing the 120Hz display. Additionally, we could actively prolong the phone’s battery life by attending to notifications warning us about power-intensive apps. HONOR Earbuds 3 Pro is released on Feb.28, 2022. It is the world' s first coaxial dual-driver TWS earbuds with the rod shape which feature a dynamic driver of damper design with 0.6mm super amplitude and a ceramic treble driver. PZT refers to piezoelectric ceramics. If you have an Honor phone, you get even easier pairing… but the Earbuds 3 Pro will work with any Bluetooth device. (Image credit: TechRadar) Honor Earbuds 3 Pro review: valueWe’re fans of the Honor 50 display. It’s a 6.57-inch OLED panel with a FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch input rate. The display curves at the edges and is broken up by a cut-out for the front camera at the center of the top edge. Data from the HONOR lab. 5.1 grams without ear tip refers to the lightest configuration, actual weight may vary depending on configuration. If you feel uncomfortable when wearing the earbuds, stop using them and consult your doctor. Arguably the biggest difference between the AirPods Pro and the Honor Earbuds 3 Pro is how much better the latter sounds. Let's let that sink in for a moment. It is no small or incremental improvement on Apple's top-tier offering either. But what of the features? Honor has made much of the inclusion of active noise-cancelling, which aims to soften outside sounds and help listeners hear intended audio that bit more clearly. Honor offers quite a few extra camera modes to give you some versatility. There’s Portrait, Macro, Pro and Night, which most phones get, as well as Aperture, which lets you manually tweak the focus.
