About this deal

According to official Rounders bat regulations it should measure no longer than 46 centimetres in length (18 inches). A Rounder bat must not be more than 17 centimetres (6 inches round) in diameter. Each batter faces one delivery at a time. They should try and get to the first post before they are given out. There are two umpires in an official game of rounders. One is the batting umpire and one is the bowling umpire. The batter's umpire should stand level with the batsman inside the batting square. They should be able to see the 1st post without a need to turn their head. The bowler's umpire needs to be able to see all of the playing area, and it is considered to be one of the most complex roles in rounders. Five innings constitute a game, depending on the level of the match. Each batting team's inning continues until three outs are made.

All equipment in Rounders should be manufactured for player safety and for the general purpose of the game. After striking the ball, batters will try to score runs by running around four (4) separate bases marked out on the field. The ball circumference must be between 180 millimetres (7.1in) and 200 millimetres (7.9in) and the bat no more than 460 millimetres (18in) in length and 170 millimetres (6.7in) in diameter. Rounders England place a weight-limit of 370 grams (13oz) on the bat. The bases are laid out in a manner similar to a baseball diamond, except that batters run to a separate fourth base, at right-angles to third base and the batsman's base. [17] Each base is marked with poles, which must be able to support themselves and stand at a minimum of 1 metre (3ft 3in). The batting team will score a half Rounder if one of their batters reaches the 2nd or the 3rd post in one hit of the ball. Note: You should also find the fundamental rules and regulations in Rounders terminology useful and easy to understand.Rounders England (England), GAA Rounders (Ireland), a division of the Gaelic Athletic Association [1] For teams wanting additional metal rounders posts for group training, or to replace a damaged rounder post, we also sell these individually in any quantity.

A bowler's umpire also defines no-balls and calls out the start of play. As well as this, they have to make sure the bowler does not step out of their 'bowler's box' when bowling. When children reach key stage 2, throughout the ages of seven to eleven, the national curriculum expects that children will learn to play competitive games, modified where appropriate.

Backstop Line

The original batter reaching and touching the 2nd (or 3rd) post before the next bowl. You would lose this score if the run is continued and you get ‘put out’ before reaching the 4th marker.

The bowling rules in Rounders allow you to play the game with a white ball, like in softball rules, or with a coloured ball. So, a traditional hard white ball will be more practical if you will be playing in a grassy green garden.Rounders umpire uniform consists of a few basic items. A Rounders official would usually wear bright white shoes (e.g. court footwear) and a white polo shirt. Rounders balls should clean and have no raised seams. The outer stitching should be uniform – not frayed or torn. Ball stitching should be flush to the leather material covering the surface of the round ball. These printable flashcards include colour illustrations of different positions in the sport of rounders, and the equipment that is needed. It will reinforce the children's gameplay knowledge as well as the spelling of words such as 'bat', 'fielders' and 'bowlers spot'. In simple terms, players from each team take turns hitting a hard ball with a Rounder bat (similar size ball to that used in tennis rules).
