I will be using this book to drive my training, and I'm sure I'll be dipping in and out of it for years to come. Lots of excellent photos, examples, and clarifications which seem to hit the essentials without any superfluous content. Martin has coached the Norwegian Climbing Federation’s youth recruits and many of the stronger juniors in the Trondheim community for the past ten years.

Then Jonathan climbed up on his hands and feet, with his armor bearer behind him; and they fell before Jonathan, and his armor bearer put some to death after him. Martin Mobråten has a master’s degree in civil engineering, has climbed for over 20 years, been an athlete on the Norwegian national team and is a former Nordic champion in climbing.Yet, nothing is more hindering to your climbing performance than being afraid while climbing on the sharp end. I was really impressed by how comprehensive and accessible this manual is, thoroughly covering the physical side of training, and also with sections on technique, mental training, and tactics. He has climbed extensively outdoors and has redpointed several routes graded F8c+ and boulder problems up to Font 8c. Think about it; have you ever witnessed the ridiculously strong guy (yes, guy, we’ll come back to that in a second) from the gym not being able to climb at all close to the same level when you go outside?
