Finally... FINALLY... there's my greatest peeve. The thigh armour stays on the body through the magic of friction between the leather straps and the silicone body. So basically, I get it a point where it doesn't seem to fall down, only to have it fall down a few seconds later anyway. Why they did not use brown elastic for these straps is beyond me. It's already so small.. it's not like you'd really notice them not being leather anyway. Fanfic/AGrowingAffection'' plays with this trope; Hinata is shown multiple times wearing a scale armor bikini, but she wears it under her normal uniform. WordOfGod claims that every kunoichi wears armored undergarments, unless her uniform is too {{Stripperiffic}}.
When we mention chainmail bikini, your first thought will probably be "Lord of the rings" or "Dungeons and Dragons". The title character of ''Red Shetland'', a Furry comic that homages ''Comicbook/RedSonja'' and the ''Franchise/ConanTheBarbarian'' mythos as a whole, wears one of these, although it's not quite as all-protecting as is the norm for this trope.

Out of a combination of wanting to fix this miserable state of affairs and being immediately infatuated with Lilietta, Kautz takes the job and the hilarity begins. From a paint perspective, there isn't much wrong, with generally clean paintwork across all armour and outfit parts. Blood effects on the weapons and armour are again, not photorealistic, but get the job done. The materials seem appropriate for their usage, and I like how the hands are quite soft such that you can open them up with ease for grasping accessories.
In ''Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers,'' Hungary is shown in both official and fan works as wearing revealing and form-fitting armor similar to the ones she wore as a child. From 15 February 1965 to 20 September 1965, she made a Mediterranean deployment with Carrier Air Wing 10 embarked. Despite the original film's titanium bikini being one of the ur-examples of this trope, it is averted in the new films. Captain Phasma (played by the illustrious Gwendoline Christie) wears completely functional stormtrooper armor. Made of silver metal rather than white plastic, in fact.
