Dell has announced two new, relatively inexpensive gaming monitors featuring a number of top display specifications.
Dell’s G3223Q is a conflicted monitor. It has good SDR image quality, superb motion clarity, and works very well with the latest game consoles thanks to HDMI 2.1 support and a refresh rate up to 144Hz. The monitor’s HDR is disappointing, however. It also misses the mark for creators due to some decisions in the monitor’s menu system. Dell’s new Fast IPS gaming monitors have 1ms response time
The Dell G3223D is an excellent choice if you want a large 1440p screen that’s capable of excellent colors and viewing angles. Its best quality is its color coverage and accuracy since the result is something you’d see on a high-tier model. Build quality is excellent, and its USB-C connectivity makes it more flexible than some competitors. DisplayPort 2.1 became a much bigger talking point than expected when AMD revealed its upcoming RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT GPUs. It's the latest standard from DisplayPort, a revision to the 2.0 spec released in 2019, and it's a natural inclusion for next-gen GPUs. Thoughts on the Dell G3223D Calibrating the monitor reduced its dE average to 0.66, so it is not worth going through it unless you need absolute color accuracy. There’s also the cost of the colorimeter, which isn’t usually cheap or practical for gaming and entertainment displays.
