About this deal

If I had to choose a favorite between the two, the older one would win, although I love the newer one too.

Sometimes this one gives off a smell of urine in a bathroom with some fruity air freshener, I know, it's weird, especially if smelled directly from the atomizer. The heart is beautiful, joyful bouquet of flowers, such as tuberose, volumptuous mimosa, ylang ylang, jasmine, gardenia, orchid, rose and unusually aromatic carnation. If Amarige were released today by Tom Ford or Ariana Grande (or Ex Nihilo or MFK or whomever the affluent youth fancy) it would be hugely popular among the under 30 crowd (not that it actually isn’t still popular in general because I think it’s a top seller online). Sometimes i like to spray it on my body and put a sweater on - feeling festive and fabulous all the way!Even the font used (on the original bottle from the 90s, which is just slightly different from the new bottle in the above picture) is old fashioned and meant to evoke a more romantic and iconic time. I was going to get the new bottle, that was my plan for awhile now, but, by God, when it came down to it, I just couldn’t do it. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. When I last wore my vintage Amarige I was complimented on my perfume 8 hours after I lightly sprayed it on my skin! I have had a long relationship with Amarige and we even went our separate ways for awhile but it's still one I revisit for special occasions as she's glam and confidently complex.

Perfumes are often designed with top, middle and base notes, and designed to smell different based on the time after application. To me, it always seemed like a "mom" fragrance, although the incredibly 90's box design with the tie-dye lettering on a red background was always appealing to me.The voluptuous bottle is the embodiment of femininity, with a faceted cap that sweeps like the wing of a swan. I don’t find the current formulation to be sharp at all, it’s quite smooth, and even when I spray heavily it never gets suffocating or fills the room. While I am immediately put off by most tuberose perfumes, this one like others of its era were nuanced and complex with many notes which gave it more depth than like MJ turberose scents of today.
