WPS Wooden Squeegee Range – Long lasting, cost effective and easy to use. Wooden Squeegees which are actually made of treated MDF. You can choose from the list below which Squeegee blade is the best for you. The positives of a DIY squeegee is that you can adapt the shape and length of the handle and choose your squeegee blade to suit your printing style.

The metal handle squeegee is number 1 for a reason! So much so that we are currently in the process of exchanging (nearly) all of our squeegees over to the metal ergonomic handles. Red: Soft Blade. Suggested mesh count is 15T-55T. Ideal for textile printing and high opaque designs especially light onto dark printing. Suitable for Plastisol Inks. We have been screen printing t-shirts by hand for nearly a decade now. It’s about time we gave you our opinion on some of the most common squeegee handles on the market. Are you needing a squeegee to help dry the wet room daily or will you just be using it once a month to clean windows? The positives of the metal ergonomic handled squeegee is the comfort to print with it, the lightweight feeling, the sturdy structure, the ability to change the blade easily… the list goes on! Squeegees can vary a lot in price and quality and it can be difficult to know where to begin when you set out to buy a new one. To help you out I’ve tried and tested 5 of the best squeegees available in the United Kingdom and have compiled this handy guide to help you choose The traditional wooden handled squeegee is a firm favourite in our studio. It is designed to be used for lots of different printing techniques including t-shirt printing and poster printing. The main things to look for when purchasing a good quality wooden handle is regular screws holding the blade securely in place, varnished wood and lastly look out for the handles which are sculpted to a hand shape.

The positives of EZ Grip squeegee is that you can easily change the blade in house which will save time and money. Additionally the handles are moulded perfectly to your hand creating a very comfortable printing experience. The positives of the BADASS squeegee handle is that you can easily print a large open area of mesh. The heavy weight of the squeegee combined with the comfort of the handles makes printing large areas a breeze! A window cleaner or tiled surface needs to be a soft foam maybe with an added rubber scraper for removing excess moisture. Because of the secure fit of the head to the handle, this squeegee isn’t very flexible. This makes it harder to use in tight spaces so better for an open area like a garage or an open plan wet room and shower squeegee.

Blue: X Hard Blade. Suggested mesh count is 120T-200T. Ideal for substrate printing including paper, board, metal, ceramics and glass printing. This blade will allow a good amount of pressure to increase definition to your artwork, it will also limit the deposit of ink which is great for non absorbent surfaces and extreme solvent based inks. Ideal for photographic work and fine lines. Suitable for most inks and for non absorbent surfaces.
