About this deal

Also compatible with the Switch Lite, this set of eight thumb grips fit over your joysticks to make them more comfortable while reducing slippage. It gives your fingers a little more to grip, so you don't have to lean the corners of your Switch into the bottoms of your palms. First, ensure the Nintendo Switch logo and the player LEDs on the Joy-Con grip or Joy-Con charging grip are facing you.

You can add a variety of different grips, whether ergonomic or simply for a better hold, and they are way cheaper than investing in an expensive Pro Controller. When Nintendo announced the Joy-Cons, we all saw what kind of new experiences that could be made possible with Nintendo's innovation. For example, I like playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild handheld, while I prefer to play ARMS with the Joy-Con Straps.

Not only do they make your gaming more comfortable, but the protective coating on it is scratch-free to keep your setup looking fresh.

He then explained the difference between the two Grips: “There’s also a Charging Grip accessory that’ll come as well, that you can actually plug these into — plug a spare set of Joy-Con into — and charge. This is perfectly fine; the Joy-Con grip already feels comfortable with two Joy-Cons attached, and the Charging Grip offers no discernible difference. To ensure the right and left Joy-Con controllers are positioned properly, align the - Button on the left Joy-Con with the top-left corner of the Joy-Con grip or Joy-Con charging grip. The charging function feels like less of a benefit in an optional accessory and more like a bizarrely omitted feature in the system's included accessories.

If you’ve got a question about Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, or just about any other Nintendo series check out her guides to help you out.

If you aren't a fan of the button size and want a more traditional feel I would go with the Power A Enhanced Wireless Controller as an alternate controller for the Switch.

They come in many colors so you can choose to match or complement the colors of your Joy-Cons while protecting them from dust and scratches. Designed with both the Switch and Switch OLED in mind, the NeoGrip only blocks off a small portion of the back panel, so the Switch OLED's large kickstand is still accessible. The analog sticks are also a massive improvement over the Joy-Cons, offering a full range of motion and the consistent resistance needed for accurate inputs, which is particularly helpful in shooters. The Joy-Con charging grip allows you to keep playing while you're charging your Joy-Con controllers, so you don't have to miss a minute. Both Split Pad models are definitely worth considering if you're goal is to not only improve the ergonomics of handheld mode, but add more traditional controls.

As with Satisfye's previous model, the ZenGrip Pro is extremely lightweight--it doesn't make the console feel any heavier (in fact, because it makes holding the Switch so much easier, it almost feels lighter). Plus the different color options when it comes to Joy-Cons makes it a fun customization piece for your console.

For a controller that's as expensive as they Joy-Cons, I think it's a huge downfall that drift on the joystick of the controllers is such an immediate issue that Nintendo has yet to fix. I’m an ISF-certified TV calibrator and a THX-certified home theater professional, and I’m here to help you understand 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and even 8K (and to reassure you that you don’t need to worry about 8K at all for at least a few more years). Fitted with a built-in 10,000mAh internal battery, Newdery's grip roughly doubles the battery life while playing in handheld mode.
