The right-hand speaker houses an amplifier that cranks out 60 watts of custom-tuned power per channel, and it's also where you'll find the plethora of inputs you'll use to connect other gear. I love that you can connect just about anything to Klipsch R-51PM speakers and save space, because you don't need a receiver. With an integrated phono pre-amp, Bluetooth® wireless technology, digital optical, analog RCA and USB inputs, your R-51PM is the best performing, most versatile monitor on the planet. Simply connect the included ultra-compact, pre-paired transmitter (included) to the subwoofer out or LFE out on your receiver.Without sacrificing a single specification from the older model, the newer Klipsch R-51PM set breezily enhances the users’ experience. Imagine your Klipsch Reference Point positioned perfectly for your optimum listening position, Sit back, Relax and Enjoy.
Quick note, after hooking up these speakers I didn't get any audio even though my computer recognized them and set them as audio output. In smaller rooms, for which the R- 51PMs are designed, and near-wall placement they will better match work with room modes to give a balanced result that avoids room boom. Reference powered speakers leverage independent, ultra-low noise amplifiers that are custom designed to maximize system performance and eliminate the need for external amplification.Because there's so many tech in the living room, it's a necessity that the audio set up there is high powered. They’re also very forward-sounding, which is exciting and makes you feel like you’re in the front row of the concert but some listeners may prefer a more laid-back sound.
