The author moved from Brooklyn to a cabin in the Santa Cruz mountains and she and her husband use local produce creating a community through cooking healthy food. The project uses a digital fictional narrative, set in a distant future (June 2051), in which a festival becomes a design tool to imagine a series of scenarios within the village. The recipes are simple, contain easily obtainable ingredients and none look intimidating or time consuming. Inspired by local California produce, she has now created 5 vegetarian cookbooks and a line of products that showcase her unique blend of photography overlaid with watercolor illustrations and hand lettering.They’ll discuss Erin’s new book, The Forest Feast Road Trip and do a Passover recipe demo while offering creative ideas for hosting a modern Passover seder.
