About this deal

i did, however, like the development of christian though. he wasn’t my favourite character but he did go through quite a bit of self development. he spent time trying to figure himself out and sort through his struggles with forming relationships. i also really liked how he did this to try to be a better and more self aware person for hayden and their relationship. Good Lord, slow down.” My dad was sitting at the table, reading the paper and drinking coffee like he had every single day of my life. His hair was flame-red, the potent original to my watered-down coppery-brown version. He gave me a smart-ass smile and said, “No one here knows the Heimlich.” Up until now, I still can't believe I finally finished reading the last book in this series. All those years of waiting for Christopher's book is totally worth it because this book is just so good. I love everything about it. From the plot, storyline, romance, and characters. Everything is just top tier and TL Swan really delivers it as great as her other books. There’s just one small problem with the divine Miss Hayden. She’s totally unaffected by my charm. Nothing is working, and now, I’ve been friend zoned.

The 3rd act break up and later on reunion left me wanting to be honest, neither of them really even tried to solve anything before breaking up and upon reuniting after so long apart I felt that the moment should have been bigger. Aging myself here with these incoming references, but The Do-Over gave off Ferris Buellers Day Off vibes, as well as Groundhog Day – two absolute cult classics. I really enjoyed how the author tied these similarities into her work, but made it her own. As she repeats February 14, it becomes apparent that there is something she needs to learn, but it's difficult for Emilie to figure out what. Each day, she tries something different, leading her to question her prior choices, stand up for herself in new ways, and get to know the mysterious lab partner she has sat next to all year. He actually grinned at my expression. “I wasn’t impugning your fashion choices—you look very, um, polo player’s girlfriend, don’t worry. I was merely referring to your bare legs and the fact that it’s, like, twenty degrees outside. Ride? Yes?” Then there’s Hayden, she and Chris have that whole enemies to lovers vibe going for them until they don’t. And then they fall in love. Which is hot. Christopher is a hot lover. HOT.

I love the Miles Brothers and I am so excited I got the opportunity to read an ARC of The Do Over! These billionaire brothers are hot and emotionally stunted, and reading their stories as they mature and find meaningful relationships has been a delightful journey. To say I’ve been anxiously awaiting Christopher’s story since finishing Elliott’s story in The Casanova is an understatement! This book was a roller coaster of emotions. I loved it at times, but it also fell quite flat for me in other moments.

When I was ten, I started putting confession strips into a box in my closet so that if anything happened to me, people would know that I was more than just the quiet girl who followed the rules. But the good thing about me is that I’m an incredible problem solver, and I’ve come up with a diabolical plan. I’m going to slide right in under her friend zone. Be the best damn friend she ever had, hold her hand, make her laugh, and spoon with her in bed. This entire story was just downright phenomenal. It felt different somehow, but it was the absolute perfect ending to the miles high club series. I am so sad that the series has come to an end. I’m not ready for it to be over!!!!!!!!! But y’all. I seriously loved it. I laughed, but I also cried. My emotions were all over the place. I was so in my feels and I can’t wait to talk to y’all about it.

So I wondered where Tee was going to go with Christopher, and this book had a completely different feel for me to books 1-3. I loved the travel element but really this was a self-discovery, personal-growth journey with some funny events and side characters as well as emotional highs and lows. These two have an immediate attraction but Hayden is also put off by Christopher and his arrogance. As fate would have it, they end up sharing a kiss one night that changes everything. They become closer and their friendship starts to blur into something more. Insurance information, please.” He held out his palm and waited. I kind of wanted to push him for his attitude of driverly superiority, but he was a lot taller than me and had broad shoulders that didn’t look like they’d budge easily. The Do-Over was everything I was waiting for and more. First, the Miles brothers, I mean ~ come on! But Christopher Miles damn gurl this was so so good.

And even though Christopher is cultured and well-traveled, no one could prepare him for his most recent destination: the friend zone. another this i loved was the push and pull between Christopher and Hayden. Growing their relationship from strangers to best friends to lovers was a wild experience. They hit so many speed bumps along the way but really tried their hardest to be open and make things work. In the end after so many roller coaster emotions they got their HEA. I have read this entire series by Jennifer Bernard and the whole series has a very cute small town romance vibe. Definitely very well written, usually a little bit of drama and some sweet heat. Overall would recommend if you want a nice easy romance. This particular book was a second chance romance and was decent throughout the whole book but really hit the high point for me towards the end of the book. That's really when the good stuff and drama hits. Yes, that’s me!” I was losing my cool because I had very big plans for the day, and this surly boy was holding me up from making my perfect Valentine’s Day happen.
