There seem to be two types, or several even, of Murphy beds. First one I saw was one which had the desk conversion with it. When it’s folded down as a bed there’s a working area that slides underneath and when the bed is up, in away position, the working area is as a desk. I’m in the UK so wondering if the whole Muphy bed idea is from USA, and what’s the name for the one with working area?We would not describe any of our products as "easy" to assemble. We have attempted to make it as simple as we can, but it does take some understanding of the use of tools and hardware to assemble and install any Murphy Bed. We like to say, "It is do-able for an experienced do-it-yourself-er." You can now attach the rails to the subframe using 1 1/4” screws. The pilot holes should be drilled starting from the outside through the side rails all the way to the head and foot rail. Attach them with 2” screws.
