About this deal

So, if you like L'Oreal Barber Club grooming products at supermarkets and want to combine with something similar but much much higher quality cologne (it's Guerlain) here it is! The top notes reveal a generic citrus accord and a heavier floral orange blossom that blends naturally with the fragrance DNA in the heart phase. Wow can't believe im saying this, at first i was like wow this smells so amazing, lots of people say this is a great signature scent so i made it mine, however after a month of usage, i gotten very bored of it. PS: my new girlfriend likes this (she doesn't really like my other perfumes like Naxos, or Dior homme parfum. Initially I fell into the hype and tried to convince myself that it was amazing, but after all this time I've come to the realization that I’m not too crazy about it.

Not a fan of the new bottle designs and it not smelled anymore the same to me as it used to also was very light smell as few years ago it was projectin like grazy. The weird way the fragrance is blended, is annoying I have to admit but it adds to its magic because you want to get closer to get all the notes at once. Moderate projection as it is more of a gentleman scent with good performance, easily 8 hours on my skin. It's perfectly well rounded by leather and sandalwood in the base which make it the perfect amount of sweet but not cloying. It is great for the people like me who are bored of being smelled like a piece of wood and citruses squeezed on it.Its versatility is awesome, can be used anytime anywhere and it will fit, however it will be best in office or work. Not likely as the profile for my nose is close enough to EDP and I already have an almost finished small bottle and an unopened big one for that.

It is a perfect evening/night wear year round, but daytime I would only wear it during spring, fall, and winter since the notes are quite heavy and sweet. If you dont mind any of the notes i dislike,i suggest you to go for it,for around 75 EU its a fair deal. This would be a nice date night frag, because the person that your on a date with probably won't say they've smelled this frag on their past partners before. Starts off with a little citrusy-herbaceous kick, a sweet almond mid and a leathery-woody base; overall an attractive aromatic scent with good versatility.I think this fragrance would really shine on crisp winter days but could be pulled off for any occasion. On my skin it is long lasting, but the projection is mostly intimate, which makes it perfect for dates. As it stands, I find L’Homme Ideal EDT quite special in my collection, as well as the larger landscape of contemporary frags for men, especially among the designers.

I prefer either the Intense version or an imaginary "L'Homme Ideal Boisé Intense" if such a flanker would be launched in the future. it's not as revolutionary as those created by Thierry Mugler more than twenty-five years ago, but it is innovative enough for a typical conservative designer like Guerlain. Opens sweet and sour but within 30 mins turn into sweetness and booziness and afterward the leather start to manifest. In a few words, spices, incense, green herbs, the right sweet (not gourmandise at all) touch, sandalwood, maybe leather is missing or it's very soft.He makes his own way, is sweet but temperamental, somewhat rough around the edges, comfortable in an upscale bar but doesn’t leave his leather jacket too far away. I’m going to be on the hunt for a brown cap bottle, but confident this will remain a firm favourite. L'Homme Ideal EdT is a rather classy but easy-going almond-centered scent that opens with a rather fresh aromatic citrus opening immediately doused in the L'Homme Ideal signature amaretto (orange peel+almond) accord that stay throughout its life. I wouldn’t dare spray this in the summer, and even in fall (for which this is a very appropriate scent) I find this performs best in temperature-controlled environments.

However the cherry🍒 is too syrupy for me, it literally smells like cherry syrup for a while in the mid and then the vanilla comes around and it turns a bit heavy for my taste (I'm not a fan of vanillas, they either hit or miss for me), also the incense is strong when it dries and I've recently realized I can't take incense notes on my skin, they turn my stomach a bit. I doubt you'll get any complements unless you hug lots of people or are constantly in other peoples personal space. In general, it belongs to spicy/aromatic family, I can smell almost all of it's notes listed above but spices are rocking hard.I should probably spray this with a heavy hand next time (6-7 sprays), which is something I have to get used to since I'm normally a light sprayer (usually 4-5 sprays max). This is where the leather is the main note but by this time the leather/vetiver is very light on the skin. This fragrance still rocks, 2 sprays of 2022 batch last me all day and no need to add more, otherwise it will cause nausea! This is maybe the best smelling cologne I've ever had so I can get past the weaker sillage and longevity because I can get whiffs of myself for 3-4 hrs.
