Overnight guests can stay in a fully-furnished villa or in one of two campgrounds located near Lake Jocassee. We camped at Devil's Fork the weekend of October 15th, 2021, and we had never been before. Actually, my wife and kids had never been camping before so it was a bit of an adventure for our family, but after coming here, I can say it's a great location for a first time camping trip.
It might be that they feel connected to the meaning of the tattoo. It also might be that the element of the tattoo is something very close to them.
