About this deal

As the enlightenment is accepted to be related to letting go of the worldly pleasures according to Buddhism, Manson takes this as an example to justify his opinions.

She only texts me when she wants or needs something and, while we love and respect each other - we just aren't all THAT. I understand that he has a very popular blog and publishing is about money but God this book is bad. As the experiences/ examples presented are clear, and very easy to relate to, it's easy to get completely lost in a philosophy like this.Realising your emotions and problems aren't exclusive: nearly everyone in the world will have experienced what you felt at some point in their lives. You can read periodicals on any NOOK tablet or in the free NOOK reading app for iOS, Android or Windows 8. It's not that the content are false, but everything's completely taken out of the original context, and I'm failing to see how any of this is supposed to be 'helpful'.

After asking myself "If this doesn't work, I'll just try something else" I figured I had nothing to lose. Hilarious, confronting and damn refreshing, it’s more than a practical guidebook to choosing what’s important or unimportant in our lives, it’s a brutally honest and much needed reality check about our personal problems, fears and expectations. At this moment in history, when we have access to technology, education and communication our ancestors couldn’t even dream of, so many of us come back to an overriding feeling of hopelessness. Chances are you know somebody in your life who, at one time or another, did not give a fuck and went on to accomplish amazing feats. Having better values creates better problems to solve, and those achievements will lead to a legitimately improved life.

Controversial title aside, the book isn't about just not giving a damn, but about focusing WHAT to not give a damn about. With titles like “The Most Important Question of Your Life,” “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck,” and “No, You Can’t Have It All,” his work was reposted by Elizabeth Gilbert, Chris Hemsworth, Will Smith, and Chelsea Handler. This is utterly, utterly untrue - we know that rape and incest are some of the most under reported and under prosecuted crimes, and that the possibility of not being believed plays a big role in that. And along with our gum lines and our sex drive, our ability to give a fuck has receded to the point of non-existence.

In the twilight of our days, we carry out a paradoxical existence where we no longer have the energy to give a fuck about the big things in life, and instead we must dedicate the few fucks we have left to the simple and mundane yet increasingly difficult aspects of our lives: where to eat lunch, doctors appointments for our creaky joints, 30-cent discounts at the supermarket, and driving without drifting to sleep and killing a parking lot full of orphans. Unfortunately, the rest of the book turns into the same self-help drivel you see in any other "how to be happy" kind of book, only Manson starts to present the information with a tone reminiscent of an Andrew Dice Clay routine. I found that this book contained mostly opinions, with a few hidden facts chucked in for good measure. With titles like "The Most Important Question of Your Life," "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck," and "No, You Can't Have It All," his work was reposted by Elizabeth Gilbert, Chris Hemsworth, Will Smith, and Chelsea Handler. If that doesn't work, there may be a network issue, and you can use our self test page to see what's preventing the page from loading. Well, if I had received any help from this book, that would be with 'not giving a f*ck' about this book, and move on. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck took the world by storm, selling almost 2 million copies in its first year alone. TLDR: this book helped me out, connects with you on an unconventional level, and ultimately offers brilliant advice that helps improve yourself and hopefully others around you. This isn't your typical self-help book filled with sugar-coated affirmations; it's a no-holds-barred guide to living a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
