About this deal

So why do we need detectors with fast recovery rate? Simply to allow the machine to separate targets close to one another. This can be two solid targets next to each other (e.g. nail and coin) allowing the detector to analyse each target individually. Or to stop a target’s response being blanked-out (swamping out) by ferrous materials in the ground ( Feoxides). This means that each frequency in the Multi-IQ tool compensates for those that are impacted by potential barriers. The field of the coil is kept stable and efficient. Lower frequencies will reach the deepest possible levels of the soils, while higher frequencies will spot smaller objects. Thus, buying a tool with Multi-IQ technology, the hunter gets both stable and at the same time sensitive detector. Yes if you drop the recovery rate to 1 during an air test the depth will be a lot deeper. Same with testbed tests; if you know where the target is any noise means you’ve detected the target, right? In these situations the machine has become so noisy with false signals and corrupted target responses, you would’ve been better off leaving the machine in factory settings.... which by the way were designed by Minelab’s testers to give new users a head-start.The tool has three search modes – Park, Beach, and Field. These modes allow the user to set the most optimal indications for the most various locations. The Park mode offers special pre-set conditions of search that have higher discrimination against trash, and the relevant ground balance. The Field mode has sensitivity proper for field soils, a different depth and discrimination, etc. The Beach mode offers lower sensitivity for trash plus salt water is taken into consideration. The tool is fully submersible, so it will show stable performance on the seashore or on the riverbank. Although the wired headphones are convenient, the Equinox 600 is just compatible with wireless headphones but does not include them. In-built loudspeaker, wired 3.5mm (1/8") headphones (included) • Bluetooth compatible • WM 08 Wi-Stream compatible It’s once again a battle between an older, established Equinox model which represents outstanding value, and a higher-priced, next-generation model with upgraded features.

If you were a beginner user, though, you may find it quite intimidating to take full advantage of the Equinox 600. However, the manufacturer has designed the detector in such a way that you could learn the ropes easily as you make use of the device. Nevertheless, you are unlikely to employ all its high-tech and advanced user settings for the hobbyist you are. The equipment is not super lightweight, so you should expect that it would feel a bit heavy after a period of prolonged usage. The equipment is designed with a five-level depth indicator. It is also quite lengthy; hence, it shouldn’t pose a problem for tall users. The main reason for writing these blogs is to bust a few myths that have sprung up since the release of the Equinox. Field mode is optimised fordetectinghistorical fields and designed tofind the broadestrange of target sizes. The bottom line? The EQUINOX 600 is really all most normal people would likely need and even then it has more features than most detectors. The hard-core detectorists who want the extra features on the 800 generally know who they are. The key thing is that, with rare exceptions mostly involving gold prospecting, both models are equally capable and will both locate the vast majority of targets equally well. The EQUINOX 600 really is a powerhouse at an incredibly low price. The good news is that if you just can’t make up your mind, the EQUINOX 800 really is not all that much more!

The Equinox 600 works on four different frequencies, single frequencies of 5 kHz, 10 kHz, and 15 kHz as well as multi-frequency mode. It's worth noting that the frequencies of 20 kHz and 40 kHz can't be used inpidually; however, in multi-IQ mode, the choice becomes viable. Search Modes It is a different method of simultaneous multi-frequency metal detection. That is, you are not switching from one frequency to another for your detection, but two or more frequencies are being received, transmitted, and processed concurrently. Note: The Iron Bias setting is only available when the operating frequency of the Equinox is set to “Multi”. When Would You Use The Iron Bias Setting? Anyone sharing their programs which run the recovery rate at 1-2 as a default setting, are causing so much damage to the reputation of the Equinox detectors. They've caused so many users to sell their Equinoxs, because they can’t handle to ridiculous noises their machines make at those settings.
